Jarell Martin – Los Angeles Lakers
He was the 25th pick in the 2015 NBA draft and he is currently playing for the Lakers’ developmental League team He is expected to be called up to the Lakers soon and could make an impact on the team’s frontcourt.

Jordan Mickey – Boston Celtics
Mickey was drafted by the Celtics in 2015 and has been impressing everyone with his play in the Summer League He is a versatile player who can play both Power Forward and center, and he is expected to be a key player on the Celtics’ rotation this season.

Tim Quarterman – Portland Trail Blazers
Quarterman was drafted by the Trail Blazers in 2016 and has been impressing in Summer League play. He is a tall (6’6”) and long (7’0” wingspan) guard who can defend multiple positions. He will likely see minutes on the Trail Blazers this season.

LSU has had a Number of players drafted into the NBA over the years, but there are a few that seem to have been forgotten. Let’s take a look at some of LSU’s NBA players who have been largely forgotten.

Jared Johnson was drafted by the Orlando Magic in 1998 and played two seasons in the NBA before being waived. He then played overseas for several years.

Johnson was never able to stick with an NBA team but he did have a successful career overseas. He won several championships and was named MVP of the league in 2003.

Johnson is now retired from basketball and living in his native Louisiana.

Jamaal Magloire was drafted by the Charlotte Hornets in 2000 and spent 12 seasons in the NBA. He was an All-Star in 2004 and played for several different teams during his career.

Magloire is now retired from basketball and serving as an Assistant Coach for the Toronto Raptors

Brandon Bass was drafted by the New Orleans Hornets in 2005 and spent 11 seasons in the NBA. He won a championship with the Miami Heat in 2012 and also played for the Boston Celtics Los Angeles Lakers Orlando Magic and Chicago Bulls

Bass is now playing overseas in China.

-Jared Sullinger: Sullinger was a star in college, but he has not been able to replicate that success in the NBA. He has struggled with injuries and weight issues, and he has not been able to live up to his potential.

The most recent controversy surrounds LSU’s star player Ben Simmons Simmons was caught cheating on his girlfriend, Cheyenne Woods, with another woman. This led to Woods breaking up with Simmons and publicly denouncing him on social media

This is just the latest in a long line of controversies involving LSU’s players. In 2016, guard Jordan Crawford was caught on camera throwing punches at a teammate during a pick-up game. The following year, forward Darius Days was suspended for a game after he got into an altercation with a fan.
