The Mercy College Baseball Team is made up of 21 student-athletes from all over the country. The team is coached by Joe Sapenna who is entering his fifth season as Head Coach of the Mavericks. Coach Sapenna has led the team to four conference championships and three trips to the NCAA tournament The team is also returning two All-Americans, senior pitcher Matt Meringo and junior infielder Joe Maher.

Schedule:

The Mercy College baseball team will begin their season on February 28th with a three-game series against Marist College. The Mavericks will then travel to Florida for a spring break trip where they will play eight games in ten days. The trip includes games against nationally ranked schools such as Florida State University University of Central Florida, and Stetson University. After returning from Florida, the team will have a busy month of April with 27 games scheduled. The month includes conference matchups against Roberts Wesleyan College, Daemen College, and Niagara University The regular season will come to a close on May 16th with a doubleheader against conference rival Canisius College
