Mikey Romero had always dreamed of playing in the Major Leagues It was a goal he had set for himself when he was just a Young Boy and one that he had worked tirelessly to achieve.

Now, at the age of 24, Mikey has finally realized his dream. After years of toiling in the minor leagues, he has been called up to the big show, and will be making his Major League debut with the New York Yankees

It has been a long and difficult road for Mikey to get to this point. But through hard work dedication, and a never-give-up attitude, he has finally made it. Here is his story.

Mikey was born and raised in San Diego California. He started playing baseball at a very young age, and it quickly became apparent that he had a special talent for the game. He played on various youth teams throughout his childhood and adolescence, and by the time he was in High School he was one of the top prospects in the country.

Mikey Romero’s Road to the major leagues began when he was drafted by the Tampa Bay Rays in 2009. After working his way through the Rays’ minor league system, Romero made his Major League debut with the team in 2012.

Since then, Romero has appeared in two World Series with the Rays, and has established himself as one of the top Relief pitchers in baseball. In 2016, he was traded to the Baltimore Orioles where he has continued to excel.

As the son of a Major League Baseball player, Mikey Romero has always had big dreams.

And now, at just 18 years old, he is one step closer to making them a reality.

Last week, the young catcher from San Diego California was drafted in the 33rd round by the Cincinnati Reds

It is an incredible achievement for any player, let alone one who was playing high school baseball just a few months ago.

“I’m just really grateful for the opportunity,” Romero told reporters after hearing his name called. “I know there are a lot of good players out there who didn’t get drafted, so I’m just going to go out there and do my best.”

The journey to the Major Leagues is long and difficult, and very few players ever make it all the way.

But with his parents’ support and his own determination, Mikey Romero just might be one of the lucky few.

In the last installment of Mikey Romero’s Road to the Major Leagues, we followed him as he was drafted by the Tampa Bay Rays in the first round of the 2007 MLB Draft We also saw how he quickly rose through the ranks of the Rays’ farm system, making it all the way to Triple-A Durham by 2009.

Now, in Part 9, we pick back up with Romero as he begins his 2010 season with Durham. He is now just one step away from his dream of playing in the Major Leagues. But as we will see, things are about to get a lot more difficult for Romero.

The 2010 season was a tough one for Romero. He struggled mightily, posting a 6.34 ERA in 28 games (27 starts). His record was just 8-17. It was by far the worst season of his career.

Despite his struggles, Romero continued to work hard and remained positive. He knew that he still had a chance to make it to the Major Leagues.

In 2011, things began to turn around for Romero. He started the season back in Durham, but after posting a 3.38 ERA in 12 starts, he was called up to the Rays’ Big League club on June 10th.

It looked like his dream had finally come true. But unfortunately, things would not go as planned from there.
