Sophomore guard Nick Weatherspoon, who missed much of last season with an injury, is also expected to be back at full strength. With a core of experienced players in place, the Bulldogs should be one of the top teams in the SEC next season.

In addition to its returning starters, Mississippi State will also have a talented group of newcomers joining the team. Freshman point guard D’Marcus Simonds was one of the top recruits in the nation, and he should make an immediate impact.
