In 1996, he was named one of the 10 Greatest Coaches in NBA history Riley has been nicknamed “God’s Gift to Basketball” and “The Mastermind.”

Jerry Sloan is an American retired NBA head coach with a impressive record of winning. During his time coaching the Utah Jazz Jerry Sloan led the team to 15 playoff appearances. Lenny Wilkens is the seventh most successful NBA Coach in terms of number of wins. He is also the only coach in NBA history to win both an NBA championship and an Olympic gold medal Wilkens began his coaching career in 1969 with the Seattle SuperSonics and coached them for four seasons. During his time with the SuperSonics, Wilkens led the team to four straight playoff appearances. In 1977, Wilkens was hired by the Portland Trail Blazers and led them to their first NBA Finals appearance in 1977.

In 1979, Wilkens was hired by the Cleveland Cavaliers during his time with the Cavaliers, Wilkens led the team to six straight playoff appearances. In 1981, Wilkens coached the Cavaliers to their first ever NBA Finals appearance. In 1986, Wilkens was hired by the Atlanta Hawks During his time with the Hawks, Wilkens led the team to eight straight playoff appearances. In 1994, Wilkens coached the Hawks to their first ever NBA Finals appearance.

In 1995,Wilkens was hired by the Toronto Raptors During his time with Raptors, Wilkens led them to five playoff appearances in six seasons. After being fired by Raptors in 2002, Wilkens returned to Seattle where he coached for one season before retiring from coaching in 2005.

Don Nelson – The Eighth Most Successful NBA Coach

Don Nelson is the eighth most successful NBA coach with 1,335 regular season wins and 11 NBA championships He coached the Milwaukee Bucks to their first ever championship in 1971 and the Boston Celtics to two championships in 1981 and 1984.
