Throughout its history, Nease Basketball has been one of the most successful programs in the state of Florida. With a tradition of excellence dating back to the early 1990s, Nease has won numerous State Championships and produced a number of Division-I basketball players

Head Coach Kelly Gravely has continued the tradition of success, leading the team to a state championship in 2017 and a runner-up finish in 2018. Under Coach Gravely’s leadership, Nease has established itself as one of the Premier Basketball programs in the country.

The Nease basketball coaching Staff

The Nease Basketball Coaching Staff consists of Head Coach Kyle Glass and assistant coaches Ryan Ervin and Patrick McDonald. Coach Glass is entering his 4th season as the head coach of the Nease Basketball Program He has led the Panthers to 3 consecutive state playoff appearances, including a trip to the Elite Eight in 2016. Coach Ervin is entering his 2nd season as an Assistant Coach at Nease. He is a former Nease player, and he was a part of the Panthers’ state championship team in 2007. Coach McDonald is also entering his 2nd season as an assistant coach at Nease. He played college basketball at North Carolina State University and he was a member of the Wolfpack’s NCAA tournament team in 2009.

The Nease Basketball Record

The Nease Basketball Record is one of the most successful High School basketball programs in the country. With 4 State Championships and 8 State Tournament appearances, the program has a rich tradition of success. The Nease Basketball Record is also one of the most decorated programs in Florida history, with five players being named Florida Mr. Basketball and two players being named McDonald’s All-Americans.

The Nease Basketball Schedule

The Ponte Vedra high school basketball team has had a long tradition of success on the court, and this year is no different. The Nease Panthers are currently ranked No. 1 in Class 6A by MaxPreps, and their 19-2 record reflects that.

Head coach TJ Ryan has been at the helm of the Nease program for 11 years now, and his teams have won 20 or more games in eight of those seasons. This year’s squad is led by senior guard Cole Swider, who has committed to Villanova, and junior forward Bryce Hopkins who is one of the top recruits in the country.

This is a big one forNease, as they take on a district rival that they have already lost to once this season. The Knights are led by senior guard Malik16 Graves, who is averaging 15 points per game

Friday, February 7 vs. Bartram Trail (14-8) – 7:00 p.m.
The Bears are always tough, regardless of their record. They have a lot of size inside with 6’9” center Luke Anderson and 6’7” forward Zach Chiongbian, so the Panthers will need to be patient on offense and not force anything inside.

Tuesday, February 11 vs. Mandarin (11-11) – 7:00 p
