Erstad has led the Huskers to 12 NCAA Tournament appearances, including four trips to the College World Series He was named the Big 12 Coach of the Year in 2001 and 2002, and was inducted into the Nebraska Baseball Hall of Fame in 2006.

Assistant coaches include Will Bolt, Lance Harvell and Michael Hardge. Bolt is in his first season as an Assistant Coach at Nebraska after spending four seasons as the head coach at Parkview Baptist High School in Louisiana. Harvell is in his 21st season as an assistant coach at Nebraska and has been with the program since its inception in 1998. Hardge is in his first season on Erstad’s staff after spending three seasons as an assistant coach at Chipola College in Florida.
