A look at the team’s strengths and weaknesses

The Newman University baseball team has a strong pitching staff and a solid lineup of hitters. The team’s strengths are its ability to score runs and its solid defense. However, the team’s weaknesses are its lack of experience and its lack of depth.

The team’s pitching staff is led by senior ace hurler, Jake Janzen. Janzen is a former All-American who has tremendous velocity on his fastball and a devastating curveball. The team’s number two starter is junior right-hander, Alex Jefferies. Jefferies is a control specialist who relies on his pinpoint control to keep hitters off balance. The team’s number three starter is sophomore left-hander, Blake Gibson. Gibson is a crafty southpaw who uses his deceptive delivery to frustrate hitters.

The team’s lineup features several experienced hitters who have the ability to drive the ball into the gaps. Senior shortstop, Drew Williams, is the team’s best hitter. Williams is a contact hitter who uses his speed to leg out extra-base hits. Senior center fielder, Austin Bailey, is the team’s most feared power hitter. Bailey has the ability to hit for both average and power, and he is a dangerous run producer in the middle of the lineup.

The Newman University baseball team has high hopes for the upcoming season If the pitching staff can live up to its potential and the hitters can produce runs, then the team has a chance to compete for a conference championship

Keys to success for the team this season

The Newman University Baseball Team is looking to continue their success from last season into this season. Last year the team had a winning record of 28-22 and made it to the conference tournament This year, the team is bringing back key members from last year as well as some new recruits that are looking to make an impact. Here are a few keys that will be important for the team’s success this season:

-Pitching: The team’s pitching staff was one of the best in the conference last year and they will need to be just as good this year if they want to compete.
-Hitting: The offense was inconsistent at times last year, but when they were clicking they were one of the best in the conference. They will need to be more consistent this year if they want to make a run at the conference title
-Fielding: The team was solid defensively last year, but they will need to be even better this year if they want to take their game to the next level.

If the team can improve in these areas, they should have no problem competing for the conference title and making a run at the National Tournament

Players to watch on the team this season

Newman University Parents and Fans,

We would like to take this opportunity to update you on the Newman University Baseball schedule The team has been working tirelessly in pre-season and we are excited to see the progress they have made. We wanted to share with you some of the talented players that will be representing Newman this season.

One player to keep your eye on is Junior, Michael Mabrey. This will be his third year starting as catcher for the Jets and he continues to develop as a leader on and off the field. As a mainstay in the lineup, he provides a lot of power at the plate and is a key contributor to our run production.

Senior, Chase Reid, will be starting his fourth year with the team and is one of our most versatile players. He has seen time at every position except catcher throughout his career and has consistently been one of our best hitters. This season, he will be primarily playing in the outfield but could see time at field positions as well.

Junior, Tanner Botz, is another player that provides a lot of power in our lineup. He was second on the team in home runs last season and is looking to build on that success this season. He will be starting in left field but could see time at first base as well.

We are excited about this season and think we have a lot of potential. We hope you can come out and support the team!
