NHL 22 is just around the corner, and we can’t wait to see how the teams stack up this year. In the meantime, check out our Power Rankings to see who we think will be the top contenders.

NHL 22 Power Rankings The Top 10 Teams

The NHL 22 power rankings are out and the top 10 looks very different than last year. The Tampa Bay Lightning are still atop the rankings, but the Vegas Golden Knights Washington Capitals and Toronto Maple Leafs have all moved up into the top five. The St. Louis Blues Winnipeg Jets and Nashville Predators round out the top 10.

The Senators are yet another team that is rebuilding and it shows in their NHL 22 power ranking. They have some good young players but they’re still a few years away from being a competitive team.

7. Anaheim Ducks
The Ducks are an aging team and it shows in their NHL 22 power ranking. They have some good players, but they’re not getting any younger and they’re not as competitive as they used to be.

NHL 22 Power Rankings: The Bottom 10 Players

The NHL 22 season is upon us, and with it comes the annual tradition of Power Rankings. These are the players who are the absolute lowest in the game, and as such, you should avoid them at all costs.

10) Brayden Schenn – St. Louis Blues
Schenn is a good player but he’s not nearly as good as he was in NHL 21. He’s still a solid option for the Blues, but he’s not someone you should be relying on to carry your team.

9) Sebastian Aho – Carolina Hurricanes
Aho took a big step backwards in NHL 22. He’s still a decent player, but he’s not someone you can count on to be a top player on your team.

8) Tyler Seguin – Dallas Stars
Seguin is another player who took a big step backwards in NHL 22. He’s still a good player, but he’s not someone you can rely on to carry your team.

7) Nazem Kadri – Colorado Avalanche
Kadri is a good player, but he’s not someone you should be relying on to carry your team. He’s best suited as a complementary piece on a good Avalanche team.

6) Jonathan Huberdeau – Florida Panthers
Huberdeau is a good player, but he takes too many penalties and isn’t someone you can rely on to carry your team. He’s best suited as a complementary piece on a good Panthers team.

NHL 22 Power Rankings: The Top 10 Rookies With the NHL season in Full Swing it’s time to take a look at the top 10 rookies so far. 1. Kirill Kaprizov, LW, Minnesota Wild After an incredible KHL career, Kaprizov has quickly become one of the Wild’s best players. In 28 games, he has tallied nine goals and 15 assists for 24 points. 2. Tim Stützle, LW, Ottawa Senators The third overall pick in 2020 has not disappointed, putting up seven goals and 13 assists for 20 points in 30 games. 3. Jamie Drysdale, RD, Anaheim Ducks The sixth overall pick in 2020 is already looking like a future star on the Ducks’ blueline. In 28 games, he has two goals and eight assists for 10 points. 4. Alexis Lafrenière, LW, New York Rangers The first overall pick in 2020 has scored nine goals and added 12 assists for 21 points in 31 games. 5. Filip Zadina, RW, Detroit Red Wings Zadina had a promising start to his NHL career with six goals and four assists in his first 17 games. He has since cooled off a bit but still has eight goals and six assists for 14 points in 30 games. 6. Jake Sanderson LD, Nashville Predators The fifth overall pick in 2020 is starting to come into his own with three goals and six assists for nine points in 29 games while averaging over 19 minutes of ice time per game. 7. Dylan Cozens, C/RW Buffalo Sabres The seventh overall pick in 2020 has been a key piece of the Sabres’ offence with seven goals and 11 assists for 18 points in 30 games. 8. Connor McMichael, C Washington Capitals McMichael was a key piece of Canada’s gold medal winning World Junior team and he’s carried that momentum over to the NHL with four goals and eight assists for 12 points in 28 games so far this season 9 . NHL 22 Power Rankings: The Bottom 10 Coaches

10. Ron Rolston, Buffalo Sabres
Rolston has been at the helm of the Sabres for less than two seasons, but during that time, he has compiled a dismal 63-94-23 record.

The former USA Hockey coach took over in 2013, and guided the team to a 21-21-6 record in his first season. But the team took a Step Back last season, finishing with a dismal 16-36-8 record.

Rolston’s future with the team is very much in doubt, and it’s quite possible that he could be replaced if the team struggles out of the gate this season.
