As the NHL enters the final two months of the regular season the playoff races in both conferences are beginning to heat up.
In the Eastern Conference the Tampa Bay Lightning are currently leading the way with 101 points, followed closely by the Boston Bruins with 96 points. The Pittsburgh Penguins and Washington Capitals round out the top four, while the Carolina Hurricanes and Columbus Blue Jackets are currently on the outside looking in.
In the Western Conference it’s a tight race at the top as well, with the Nashville Predators currently holding a slim lead over both the Winnipeg Jets and Vegas Golden Knights The Calgary Flames and San Jose Sharks are also right in contention, while the Dallas Stars and Minnesota Wild are currently on the outside looking in.
