Of these teams, the Oilers have come the closest to winning, losing in the Stanley Cup Finals in 2006 and 2017. The Sabres have also made it to the Finals twice, losing in 1975 and 1999.

There are currently three NHL teams that have never won the Stanley Cup the Arizona Coyotes, the Los Angeles Kings and the Vancouver Canucks.
The Coyotes have the longest Stanley Cup drought in NHL history having never won the title in their 50-year history. The Kings have been waiting for 48 years, while the Canucks have been waiting for 46 years.
All three teams have come close to winning the Stanley Cup several times, but they have always fallen just short. The Kings lost in the Stanley Cup Finals in 1993 and 2012, while the Canucks lost in 2011.
