The Veterans
The Plu baseball team is experienced this year, with eight returners from last year’s team. The team will be relying on the leadership and knowledge of these veterans to help mentor the younger guys and guide them through an intense season. These are the faces you’ll be seeing a lot of on the field this year.
The Stars
The Plu Baseball Team is composed of talented young men who have been working hard to earn their spot on the roster. This season, the team is stacked with players who have the potential to be superstars.
Leading the pack is ace pitcher, Ryan Shaw. Ryan has been with the Plu organization for four years and has worked his way up through the ranks. He is a hard thrower with good control and is predicted to be a top-of-the-rotation starter.
Another player to watch is third baseman, Alex Small. Alex was drafted in the second round of the most recent MLB Draft and has been impressing scouts with his power hitting and strong arm. He is expected to be a cornerstone of the Plu lineup for many years to come.
The Plu also have several other players who are expected to make an impact this season. Shortstop Sammy Watkins, center fielder Mike Trout and right fielder Bryce Harper are all talented young players who are looking to make a name for themselves in the majors. With so much talent on the roster, the Plu are poised for a great season.
The Benchwarmers
The Plu Baseball team is gearing up for their season opener and here is a list of the benchwarmers. These are the players that will most likely see limited or no playing time this season.
The Pitchers
The Plu baseball team is excited to announce its pitching roster for the upcoming season We have a great mix of experience and youth on our staff, and we’re confident that we have the right people in place to help us compete for a championship.
Leading the way for us will be our ace, senior Marcus Mayberry. Marcus has been with the team for four years and has been our best pitcher during that time. He has good control and can throw all of his pitches for strikes. He’ll be counted on to lead our staff and give us a chance to win every time he takes the mound.
Joining Marcus in the starting rotation will be junior Nick D’Angelo, sophomore Danny Lee, and freshman Sammy Rodriguez. Nick is a hard-throwing right-hander who has really developed his curveball over the past year. Danny is a lefty with a nasty cutter that has been giving opposing hitters fits. Sammy is a young talent who has already shown that he has Big League stuff. We’re excited to see what he can do at this level.
In the bullpen, we have a number of guys who can come in and get the job done. Senior Brian Johnson will be our closer. He’s got a great arm and he’s not afraid to use it. juniors Joe Miller and Mike Thomas will both see time in middle relief, while sophomores Matt Smith and Alex Jackson will be used in more situational roles. Freshman Jake Walker rounds out our pitching staff and he’ll be used whenever we need an extra arm out there.
We hope that you’ll come out and support the team this season as we chase our goals!
