Early Life and Career
Sarunas Jackson was born in Lithuania on October 10, 1985, and began playing basketball at a young age. He started his professional career with BC Lietuvos Rytas in 2002 and played there for four seasons. He then moved to Maccabi Tel Aviv where he played for two years. In 2008, he transferred to the NBA’s Sacramento Kings He played for the Kings for two years before being traded to the Milwaukee Bucks in 2010. He played for the Bucks for one season before being traded back to the Kings in 2011. He was then traded to the Houston Rockets in 2012. He has also played for the New York Knicks Phoenix Suns and Los Angeles Clippers.
His Time with the Lakers
Sarunas Jackson played for the Los Angeles Lakers from 2003 to 2005, and was a member of their 2004 NBA Championship team. Jackson was traded to the Miami Heat in 2005, where he played for one season before returning to the Lakers in 2006. He played for the Lakers until 2008, when he was released. Jackson then went on to play for the New Jersey Nets and the Phoenix Suns before retiring in 2013.
