Oscar Tshiebwe had 20 points and 20 rebounds — his 10th double-double of the season — to help West Virginia tie a school record with its 16th consecutive victory, 71-62 over Oklahoma in the quarterfinals of the Big 12 Tournament on Thursday night.

Tshiebwe, a 6-foot-9 freshman, also had six blocks. He tied the school record held by Jerry West and Jay Jacobs.

Tshiebwe is the second player in tournament history to record a double-double in his debut, joining Kentucky’s Julius Randle who had 15 points and 11 rebounds against Georgia in 2014.
