History

Servite high school founded in 1957, is a private, Catholic, all-male college preparatory high school located in Anaheim, California. The school is one of three high schools in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Orange and is run by the Salesian religious order. As of the 2013-14 school year, 1,207 students were enrolled.

Servite’s Basketball team has been very successful over the years, winning multiple CIF championships and producing many Division I college players. In recent years the team has been led by star players such as Klay Thompson (Golden State Warriors) and Manny Harris (Los Angeles Lakers).

The Team

The team is currently ranked 5th in the state and is looking to make a run at the state championship The Friars are led by senior guard Marcus Smart who is averaging 18 points per game Other Key Players include junior forward Anthony Davis and sophomore guard Rahson Johnson. The team is coached by Steve Schewiski, who has led the Friars to two State Championships in his tenure.
