The 2017-2018 Men’s Basketball Team

The 2017-2018 Men’s Basketball team was a group of students who came together to play the sport of basketball. The team had a successful season winning the majority of their games.

The Team’s History

The Shippensburg University men’s basketball team is a NCAA Division II program that competes in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC). The team is currently coached by Chris Fite. They play their home games at Heiges Field House in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania.

The team has appeared in one NCAA Division II tournament. Their record is 3–1 in nt play As of the end of the 2015-16 season, they have an all-time record of 573–659. They have appeared in the PSAC tournament final four times, with their most recent appearance coming in 2007.

The Shuquad consists of the following skilled players
– captain Nate Breisch, a senior Business Administration and Marketing double major from Elysburg, Pennsylvania
– Ryan McClellan, a junior Communication Studies major from Mercersburg, Pennsylvania
– Eli Cook, a sophomore Biology major from Chambersburg, Pennsylvania
– Trey Shifflett, a freshman Criminal Justice and Sociology double major from Broadway, Virginia
– Devon Merder, a juniorMusic Education major from Everett, Pennsylvania

The Team’s Results

The Shippensburg men’s Basketball team is an NCAA Division II program that competes in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC). The team has seen success in recent years reaching the PSAC Championship game in 2017 and 2018. The team has also qualified for the NCAA Division II tournament in 2017 and 2018, reaching the second round of the tournament in 2018.

The Team’s Highlights

The Shippensburg Men’s basketball team has had a great season thus far. They have an overall record of 19-3, and are currently riding a twelve game Winning Streak Their most recent game was a tough battle against conference rival Millersville, which they won by a score of 65-63. The team is currently ranked first in their conference, and are looking to make a run in the playoffs.

The team is led by senior guard Mikey Cavanaugh, who is averaging 18 points per game Cavanaugh is a very versatile player who can score in a variety of ways. He is also a great defender, and is often tasked with guarding the opposition’s best player. Other Key Players for the team include junior forward Lorenzo Wilkinson, who is averaging 14 points and eight rebounds per game and sophomore guard Tavon Simpson, who is averaging 12 points per game

They are also quick to show their support for the team on social media and they are always eager to help out with any fundraising efforts.
