St. Rita’s Basketball – The Coaches
The St. Rita’s varsity basketball team has a long tradition of success on the court, and this year is no different. The team is coached by two former professional players, both of whom have extensive experience at the collegiate and professional levels.
Head coach Tony Andrade is in his first season with the team, but has already made a big impact. Andrade played collegiately at the University of Notre Dame before spending several years in the NBA. He has also coached at both the collegiate and professional levels, most recently as an Assistant Coach with the Los Angeles Clippers.
Assistant coach Mike Brown is in his second season with St. Rita’s. Brown played collegiately at UC Santa Barbara before spending time in both the NBA and Europe. He has also coached at the collegiate and professional levels, including a stint as Head Coach of the Cleveland Cavaliers

These two teams have been playing each other for only four years but the games have been extremely close and very physical. This year’s game will be played on December 27th at St Thomas More High School

This is a rematch of last year’s city Championship game which St. Rita’s won handily. Simeon will be out for revenge, and they have the talent to pull off an upset against St. Rita’s this season.
