Coach Jack Curran began his legendary career at St. Rose in 1957, and led the team to 18 straight Catholic high school Athletic Association championships, as well as 24 consecutive New York State titles. Under Coach Curran, St. Rose won an astounding 2,162 games, more than any other high school baseball team in history.
Coach Frank Schaefer took over the program in 1975 and continued the winning tradition, leading St. Rose to 12 CHSAA titles and 14 New York State Championships Coach Schaefer also coached future Major League Baseball players such as Lou Piniella and Steve Wattinger.
Since taking over the program in 2001, current head coach Tony Plagman has led St. Rose to 4 CHSAA titles and 5 New York state championships He has also been named Coach of the Year by both the CHSAA and New York State several times. Under Coach Plagman, St. Rose has continued to be one of the top baseball programs in the country year after year.
