State Farm NBA players of the Week: Kyrie Irving and Kemba Walker
Kyrie Irving of the Brooklyn Nets and Kemba Walker of the Boston Celtics have been named the State Farm NBA players of the Week for games played Monday, Jan. 6 through Sunday, Jan. 12.
Irving led the Nets to a 3-1 week behind averages of 30.3 points (second in the Eastern Conference), 7.3 assists (11th in the East) and 4.8 rebounds. He opened the week with a season-high 41 points on 16-of-29 shooting, seven assists and four rebounds in a 111-103 win over the Charlotte Hornets on Jan. 6. Irving scored at least 20 points in all four games, shooting .542 from three-point range (13-of-24) and .903 from the Free Throw Line (20-of-22).
Walker helped the Celtics to a 4-0 week behind averages of 25.8 points (fifth in the East), 5.0 assists and 3.8 rebounds while shooting .484 from three-point range (15-of-31) and .913 from the free throw line (24-of-26). He began his week with 32 points, seven assists and two steals in a 109-102 win over the New York Knicks on Jan. 6 followed by 22 points and six assists in a 128-95 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers on Jan 8. Walker closed out his week with 23 points, four rebounds and five assists as Boston defeated Indiana 115 108 on Jan 10 before capping off a perfect week with 30 points on 10 15 shooting from three point range, five rebounds and three assists as the Celtics beat Houston 120 114 on Jan 12 Irving and Walker
State Farm NBA players of the Week: Joel Embiid and Pascal Siakam
Joel Embiid of the Philadelphia 76ers and Pascal Siakam of the Toronto Raptors today were named the NBA’s State Farm Players of the Week for Games Played Monday, Dec. 10 through Sunday, Dec. 16.
Embiid led the 76ers to a 3-1 week behind averages of 30.3 points (second in the Eastern Conference), 11.0 rebounds (tied for fifth in the conference) and 2.25 blocks (sixth). He shot 55.8 percent from the field and 87.5 percent from the free throw line as Philadelphia defeated Miami, 110-104, on Monday Night lost to Charlotte, 115-109, on Wednesday night; and then topped Cleveland, 122-112, on Friday Night before concluding the week with a 106-103 victory at Milwaukee on Sunday afternoon. It was Embiid’s second State Farm Player of the Week honor this season (also Nov. 12).
Siakam guided Toronto to a perfect 4-0 week with averages of 30.0 points (second in the NBA), 11.5 rebounds (tied for 13th), 5.75 assists (tied for ninth) and 1.75 steals (tied for sixth). He started off by scoring 31 points and grabbing 12 rebounds in a 103-99 win over Memphis on Monday evening; recorded his second straight 30-point effort with 30 points and 10 boards in a 103-93 victory at San Antonio on Wednesday night; tallied 36 points – one shy of his career high – along with nine rebounds and six assists in a 125-107 win versus Minnesota on Friday night; and capped off his week with 18 points and 13 rebounds as Toronto closed out its home stand with a 113-104 triumph against Indiana on Sunday afternoon. It was Siakam’s first careerPlayer of the Week award.
State Farm NBA players of the Week: Russell Westbrook and Ben Simmons
The State Farm NBA players of the Week for games played Monday, Jan. 22 – Sunday, Jan. 28 were Oklahoma City Thunder guard Russell Westbrook and Philadelphia 76ers guard/forward Ben Simmons
Westbrook led the Thunder to a 3-0 week behind averages of 33.3 points (second in the Western Conference), 10.7 assists (first in the conference) and 9.3 rebounds (tied for sixth in the conference). He began the week with his seventh career triple-double – 31 points, 13 assists and 10 rebounds – as well as a game-winning three-pointer in Oklahoma City’s 105-102 win over the New Orleans Pelicans on Jan. 22. Westbrook followed that up with back-to-back 30+ point performances, first posting 32 points, nine assists and six rebounds in a 120-111 win over the Detroit Pistons on Jan. 24 and then recording his eighth career triple-double with 34 points, 11 assists and 10 rebounds in a 108-91 victory against the Chicago Bulls on Jan. 25. In addition to leading Oklahoma City to a 3-0 week, Westbrook also ranked second in steals (2.7 spg) and free throw percentage (.950).
Simmons helped guide the Sixers to a perfect 4-0 week behind averages of 20.3 points (fifth in the Eastern Conference), 8.8 assists (third in the conference), 10th 8 rebounds (tied for eighth in conference) and 2 steals (tied for sixth) while shooting .650 from the field and .889 from the Foul Line He startedPhiladelphia’s week by collecting 19 points, eight rebounds, nine assists, two steals and one block in a 119-117 overtime victory against Simmons’ former team,the Los Angeles Lakers on Jan 23rd.. One night later he tallied 18 points on 716 shooting from field, eight boards, four dimes and two thefts as Philly outlasted Charlotte 122116.. On Saturday Simmons posted 20 points on 812 shooting from floor , eight caromsand two helpers duringa 9217 rout of Cleveland.. The Aussie closed out his stellarweek with 20 markers , 11 dimesa career high–tying 16 boards while shooting 58 percentfrom field as they Sixers toppled Oklahoma City 132127.. For his efforts he was named Eastern Conference Player of The Month for January..

State Farm NBA players of the Week: Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum
Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum of the Portland Trail Blazers have been named the State Farm NBA players of the Week for games played Monday, Dec. 4 through Sunday, Dec. 10. Lillard and McCollum become the first teammates to earn Player of the Week honors in the same week since Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant of the Oklahoma City Thunder did so in week six of the 2010-11 season.
State Farm NBA players of the Week: Lebron James and Anthony Davis
The National Basketball Association (NBA) today announced that Lebron James of the Los Angeles Lakers and Anthony Davis of the New Orleans Pelicans are the State Farm NBA players of the Week for games played Monday, March 4, through Sunday, March 10.
James led the Lakers to a 3-1 week behind averages of 28.8 points (second in the Western Conference), 12.5 assists (first in the West) and 10.3 rebounds (tied for fourth in the West). He recorded two triple-doubles, bringing his season total to eight, which ties him with Russell Westbrook and Nikola Jokic for the league lead. On March 6, James had 21 points, 13 assists and 11 rebounds in a 121-114 victory over the Chicago Bulls Two days later, he registered 22 points, 15 assists and 11 rebounds in a 118-112 win over the Indiana Pacers In those two contests, James shot .532 from three-point range (12-of-23), becoming just one of five NBA Players ever to make at least 12 three-pointers while also recording double digits in assists and rebounds in multiple games within a single season (joining Kevin Durant Steph Curry James Harden and Russell Westbrook). On March 10 against his former team, the Cleveland Cavaliers James tallied 31 points on 12-of-21 shooting (.571), eight assists and seven rebounds as part of a 113-97 victory.
State Farm NBA players of the Week: Kawhi Leonard and Paul George
This week’s State Farm NBA players of the Week are Los Angeles Clippers forwards Kawhi Leonard and Paul George. Leonard averaged 27.3 points, 7.0 rebounds, 5.7 assists and 2.67 steals in three games, all starts, as the Clippers went 3-0. He shot 57.7 percent from the field and 41.7 percent from three-point range as the Clippers won road games at Denver, Houston and Oklahoma City
State Farm NBA players of the Week: Giannis Antetokounmpo and Khris Middleton
State Farm and the NBA announced today that Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo and Bucks guard Khris Middleton have been named the State Farm NBA players of the Week for games played Feb. 12-18.
Antetokounmpo averaged 31.8 points, 13.8 rebounds, 6.0 assists and 1.50 blocks per game as the Bucks went 3-0 on the week. He began the week with 37 points, 11 rebounds, four assists and two blocks in a 103-100 road win over the Charlotte Hornets on Feb. 12 before recording his 19th double-double of the season with 29 points, 14 rebounds, four assists and two blocks in a 108-94 home win over the Chicago Bulls on Feb. 14. Antetokounmpo capped off the week with his third straight 30+ point game scoring 32 points to go along with 15 rebounds and eight assists as the Bucks defeated the Brooklyn Nets 118-91 on Feb. 16 at home.
Middleton averaged 19.3 points, 4.3 rebounds, 4.7 assists and 2.00 steals per game as the Bucks went 3-0 on the week en route to their seventh straight win overall. He began his week by scoring 21 points to go along with four assists in a 103-100 road win over the Charlotte Hornets on Feb 12 before recording 19 points, six rebounds and three assists in a 108-94 home win over the Chicago Bulls on Feb 14. Middleton capped off his week by scoring 17 points to go along with five rebounds and six assists as Milwaukee defeated Brooklyn 118=91 at home on Feb 16.
State Farm NBA players of the Week: Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo
The State Farm NBA players of the Week for games played Monday, Dec. 2, through Sunday, Dec. 8, were Milwaukee Bucks forward Jimmy Butler and Miami Heat center Bam Adebayo.
Butler led the Bucks to a 3-0 week behind averages of 24.3 points (on 54.5 percent shooting), 5.7 rebounds and 6.3 assists in 32.7 minutes per game, as Milwaukee increased its Winning Streak to 13 games with victories over Brooklyn, Detroit and Indiana. On Dec. 3, Butler totaled 18 points (on 70.6 percent shooting), seven assists and two steals in a 119-103 win over the Nets; two days later, he recorded his second double-double of the season with 25 points and 11 assists in a 132-98 triumph over the Pistons; and he closed out the week with 27 points (on 61.5 percent shooting), four rebounds and three assists in a 112-99 win over the Pacers on Sunday night It was Butler’s fifth Career player of the Week honor (second this season) and first since Feb. 12, 2018, while with Chicago.
Adebayo helped the Heat extend their winning streak to 12 games with averages of 22.3 points (on 66 percent shooting), 9.5 rebounds,. 6 assists\. 1 steal and 1 block in 36 minutes per game\. On Dec\. 2\. Adebayo registered 23 points \(on 100 percent shooting\) six rebounds\. five assists \and two blocks in 28 minutes during a 122\-105 victory over Charlotte; two nights later\\\
he had his sixth 20\-point\/10\-rebound performance of the season with 21 points \(on 80 percent shooting\), 10 boards \and six assists in 33 minutes versus Orlando; and on Sunday\\\\
he totaled 23 points \(on 77\.8 percent shooting\), 11 rebounds,. five assists \and one steal against Cleveland as Miami completed a sweep of its four\-game homestand\. It was Adebayo’s first Career player of the Week honor\.
State Farm NBA players of the Week: Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert
Donovan Mitchell of the Utah Jazz and Rudy Gobert of the Oklahoma City Thunder have been named the State Farm NBA players of the Week for games played Monday, April 5, through Sunday, April 11.
Mitchell averaged 34.3 points on 61.2 percent shooting from the field, 5.7 assists and 2.0 steals in leading the Jazz to a 3-0 record. He tallied 36 points on 15-of-17 shooting, eight assists and three steals in a 120-102 win over Brooklyn on Monday Night becoming the first player with those numbers in a game since Michael Jordan in 1989. Mitchell then scored 32 points and added seven assists in a 113-109 road win against Indiana on Wednesday before closing out the week with 30 points, four rebounds and six assists in a 115-112 victory against Cleveland on Friday night.
Gobert averaged 20.3 points, 16.0 rebounds (second in the NBA), 2.75 blocks (third) and 1.75 steals in three games for the Thunder (2-1). He recorded 20 points and 21 rebounds – his eighth 20+ point/20+ rebound game of the season – along with five blocks and two steals in a 111-102 win over San Antonio on Tuesday night that clinched playoff berths for both Oklahoma City and Houston. Gobert followed up with 24 points (tied his career high), 18 rebounds, two blocks and three stealsin a 112-105 overtime loss to Atlanta on Friday before finishing the week with 22 points, 15 rebounds, four blocksand two stealsin a 109-104 win against Charlotte on Sunday afternoon.”
State Farm NBA players of the Week: Chris Paul and James Harden
The State Farm NBA players of the Week for games played Monday, Nov. 5, through Sunday, Nov. 11, were Chris Paul of the Houston Rockets and James Harden of the Houston Rockets the NBA announced today.
Paul averaged 26.3 points (on 43.3 percent shooting from the field), 8.0 assists, 3.7 rebounds and 2.00 steals in 34.3 minutes per game while leading the Rockets to a 3-1 record on the week. On Nov. 7 vs. Orlando, Paul poured in 34 points on 12-of-20 shooting from the field to go along with 10 assists, four rebounds and two steals in a 113-105 victory over the Magic.
Harden averaged 36.8 points (on 41.2 percent shooting from the field), 10.5 assists and 6.8 rebounds in 38 minutes per game on the week as he helped guide Houston to a 4-0 record on the week behind his league-leading scoring output and assist totals. In a 115-113 win over Brooklyn on Nov. 8, Harden scored 46 points — his fourth 40-point game of the season — to go along with 11 assists and eight rebounds for his first 40-point/10-assist game of 2018-19 and 12th career 40/10 game overall (regular season + playoffs).
