The Texas Tech Red Raiders are headed to the College World Series for the first time in program history! The Red Raiders defeated the Florida Gators in the final game of the NCAA Super Regionals to earn their spot in the College World Series
The Red Raiders will be one of eight teams competing in the College World Series which will take place from June 15-26 in Omaha, Nebraska. The Red Raiders will play their first game against Michigan on Saturday, June 15 at 3 p.m. CDT.
How the Red Raiders Got to the College World Series
This is the first time in history that the Texas Tech Red Raiders baseball team has made it to the College World Series They are set to play their first game against Florida on Saturday, June 15th. How did they make it this far?
The Red Raiders finished their regular season with a 45-16 record, good for second place in the Big 12 conference. They then went on to win the Big 12 tournament, defeating Baylor in the Championship game This earned them a spot in the NCAA tournament where they won their regional and Super Regional matchups to advance to the College World Series
The Red Raiders have been led by strong pitching all season long Their team ERA of 3.36 is second in the nation, and they have held opponents to a batting average of just .234, also second in the country. They will need to continue to rely on their pitching staff as they take on some of the best teams in the country in Omaha.
The Texas Tech Red Raiders have defied all expectations this season and have worked hard to earn their spot in the College World Series They will look to continue their Cinderella run when they take on Florida on Saturday.
The Road to Omaha
It’s been a long road to Omaha for the Texas Tech Red Raiders but their journey is finally coming to an end. After winning the Big 12 Championship and defeating Florida State in the Super Regionals the Red Raiders are headed to the College World Series!
This will be Texas Tech’s first appearance in the College World Series since 2014, and their fans are sure to be out in full force to support them. The team has been on an absolute tear lately, winning 21 of their last 22 games. They’ll need to continue that hot streak if they want to win it all in Omaha.
The Red Raiders will open up the College World Series against Michigan on Saturday, June 15th. It’s sure to be a great game and we wish the Red Raiders the best of luck!
The College World Series Field
The 2019 College World Series field is set, and the Texas Tech Red Raiders are one of the eight teams headed to Omaha, Nebraska to battle for the National Championship! The Red Raiders went a perfect 2-0 in their Regional and Super Regional games to punch their ticket to the College World Series
The first game of the College World Series will be on Saturday, June 15th at 3:00 pm CT, and the Red Raiders will take on the Michigan Wolverines The winner of that game will move on to play the Florida Gators while the loser will play in an elimination game against either Vanderbilt or Louisville.

The Texas Tech Red Raiders are headed to the College World Series for the first time in school history! Here’s a look at their path to Omaha.
The Red Raiders finished the regular season with a 44-16 record, good for second place in the Big 12 Conference. They then went on to win the Big 12 tournament, defeating TCU in the Championship game
In the NCAA Tournament Texas Tech won their regional and Super Regional defeating Arkansas and Florida State respectively. They will now head to Omaha as one of the eight national seeds.
The Red Raiders will open up against Michigan in the College World Series They will then play either Florida or Arkansas, depending on who wins their opening game.

The College World Series Format
The College World Series is a double-elimination tournament that features eight teams from around the country. The eight teams are split into two four-team brackets, and each team plays the other three teams in its bracket. The winners of each bracket then advance to the best-of-three Championship Series

The College World Series will be held from June 15-26 at TD Ameritrade Park in Omaha, Nebraska. The tournament will begin with four games on Saturday, June 15th, followed by two games on Sunday, June 16th. The Red Raiders will take on the Florida Gators in their first game of the tournament on Saturday, June 15th at 3:00pm CT.

The College World Series History
The College World Series is a Baseball Tournament held every year to determine the best college baseball team in the United States The event is held in Omaha, Nebraska and features eight teams from around the country. The teams are divided into two pools, with each team playing the other teams in their pool. The top two teams from each pool then advance to the semifinals, with the winners of those games meeting in the Championship game
The College World Series has been held annually since 1947, making it one of the oldest sporting events in the country. It has been held at its current location, Omaha’s TD Ameritrade Park, since 2011. The event is televised on ESPN and typically draws large crowds to watch the games in person.
Texas Tech has a long history of success in college baseball and they are one of only a handful of schools to have made it to the College World Series multiple times. They first made it to Omaha in 1998 and have returned six times since then, most recently in 2018. This year, they are looking to make it back-to-back appearances for the first time ever and bring home their first College World Series championship.
