By Team
The 2020 baseball season is still a ways off, but that doesn’t mean we can’t start thinking about who the top prospects are. Baseball America releases their annual list of the top 100 prospects in baseball each January, so we thought we’d take a look at which teams have the most players on that list.
As of right now, the Tampa Bay Rays lead all teams with eight players on the list. The Atlanta Braves and Chicago White Sox each have seven players on the list, while the Cleveland Indians New York Yankees and San Diego Padres each have six.
Interestingly, there are a few teams who are usually near the top of the list who have zero or only one player represented this year. The Houston Astros for example, only have one player on the list. The same is true for the Washington Nationals and Milwaukee Brewers
Here’s a look at the full list:
Tampa Bay Rays (8): Wander Franco, Brendan McKay, Brent Honeywell Jr., Lucius Fox, Vidal Brujan, Josh Lowe, Shane Baz, Garrett Whitley
Atlanta Braves (7): Cristian Pache
