-The Troy men’s Basketball team will open its season at home against North Florida on Nov. 6 at 7 p.m.
-The Trojans will play their first seven games at home, with the last four of that stretch coming against SEC foes Auburn (Nov. 17), Arkansas (Nov. 24), Mississippi State (Dec. 1) and LSU (Dec. 8).

The Troy men’s basketball team will face a number of challenging opponents this season. Here are previews of some of the top teams they will face:
– Duke: The defending National Champions will be a tough test for the Trojans. Duke is loaded with talent and will be looking to make another deep run in the NCAA Tournament
– Kentucky: Another team with plenty of talent, Kentucky is always a tough opponent. The Wildcats will be looking to build on their strong finish to last season and make a run at the conference title
– Louisville: The Cardinals are always a tough team to beat, and this year will be no different. Louisville is loaded with talent and should be in the mix for a conference title
– Michigan State The Spartans are always one of the top teams in the country, and this year will be no different. Michigan State will be looking to make a run at the conference title and the NCAA tournament
Troy Men’s Basketball NCAA tournament Coverage
The 2019 NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Tournament will begin on March 19 and continue until April 8 when the National Championship game will be played. 64 teams will have qualified for the tournament by winning their conference tournament or by receiving an at-large bid from the NCAA Selection Committee.
Troy University’s men’s basketball team will be competing in the NCAA tournament for the first time in school history. The Trojans finished the regular season with a record of 24-8 (15-3 in Sun Belt play) and won the Sun Belt Conference Tournament to earn the conference’s automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament
Troy will enter the tournament as a #13 seed in the South Region and will face off against #4 seed Florida State in the first round. The game will be played on Thursday, March 21 at 2:00 PM ET and will be televised on truTV. If Troy can win that game, they would advance to play either #5 seed Buffalo or #12 seed Arizona State in the second round on Saturday, March 23. The time and television station for that game have not yet been announced but will be updated here when they are announced.
