USA Basketball to Play in Las Vegas

USA Basketball announced today that it will be holding a training camp in Las Vegas this summer. The camp will be open to all eligible players and will be held from August 5-9.

USA Basketball announced on Monday that they will be playing an exhibition game against the Australian Boomers in Las Vegas on July 22. The game will take place at the T-Mobile Arena and will be the first time the two national teams have faced each other since the 2016 Olympics.

History of USA Basketball

In response to numerous scandals involving American collegiate basketball programs USA Basketball was created to serve as the National Governing Body (NGB) for amateur basketball in the United States Its original purpose was to help American basketball players receive better treatment and play in more standardized conditions both internationally and within the United States

One of its first actions was to create the now-famous Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) boys’ Basketball Tournament which it continues to run to this day. The AAU has been criticized over the years for various reasons related to improper benefits given to players and their families, as well as a general lack of regulation. However, it continues to be one of the most popular youth tournaments in existence, thanks in large part to its affiliation with USA basketball

In recent years USA Basketball has taken on a larger role in developing young talent within the United States In 2002, it established the USA Basketball Developmental national team program. This program identifies and trains top young players aged 19 and under in order to prepare them for future competition at the international level.

The USA basketball team has made significant strides since its establishment 40 years ago. It has won numerous medals at both Olympic and FIBA World Championship competitions, and is widely considered to be one of the best basketball teams in the world.
