The University Of Vermont men’s basketball team has released their non-Conference Schedule for the upcoming season The Catamounts will play 11 games against teams from seven different conferences, highlighted by a home contest against Big East foe Connecticut on December 22.
UVM will open the season with a pair of exhibition games, hosting Division II Franklin Pierce on November 1 and Division III Middlebury on November 8. The Catamounts will then begin their regular season with four straight games at home, starting with Maine-Fort Kent on November 10.
Game 1: UVM vs. University of Maine
The University of Vermont men’s Basketball team will tip off their season at home on November 5th against the University of Maine The game is set to start at 7:00pm EST and will be televised on ESPN News.
This will be the first meeting between the two teams since 2013, when UVM won 68-58. In the all-time series, UVM leads 79-24.
UVM is coming off a disappointing season in which they went 12-21 and failed to make the postseason. They will be looking to turn things around this year with a young team that features just one senior in captain Ernie Duncan.
The Catamounts will have their work cut out for them in their opener against a Maine team that went 22-9 last season and made it to the second round of the NCAA tournament
Game 2: UVM vs. University of New Hampshire
The University of New Hampshire Wildcats are coming to Burlington this Saturday, and the Catamounts are ready to take them on! The game will tips off at 2 p.m. in the Patrick Gymnasium.
This will be the second game of the season for both teams. The Catamounts are coming off a loss to Stony Brook University, while the Wildcats defeated the University of Maine
The Catamounts have a 3-2 record against the Wildcats in the last five years, but UNH won the last matchup between these two teams in 2019.
This will be a tough game for the Catamounts, but with your support they can come out on top!
Game 3: UVM vs. University of Vermont
The University of Vermont men’s basketball team will take on the University of Vermont in their third game of the season on Tuesday, November 14th at 7:00 pm. The game will be played at the University of Vermont’s Gutterson Field House in Burlington, Vermont.
Game 4: UVM vs. Stony Brook University
The University of Vermont men’s Basketball team will take on Stony Brook University on Tuesday, December 3rd at 7:00 p.m. in Burlington, Vermont.
Game 5: UVM vs. Binghamton University
The fifth game of the Basketball season is University of Vermont Versus Binghamton University on Tuesday, November 13th. The game will start at 7:00 pm and will be played at BU’s Events Center.
Game 6: UVM vs. Albany University
The University of Vermont men’s basketball team will take on Albany University in their sixth game of the season on December 21st, 2017. The game will tip-off at 7:00 pm ET and will be held at the University of Vermont’s home court the Patrick Gymnasium.
Game 7: UVM vs. UMBC
The University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC) men’s basketball team will take on the University of Vermont (UVM) in game seven of the season. The Catamounts are looking to make it seven in a row against the Retrievers, but UMBC is hoping to turn the tide in this matchup. This will be the first time these two teams have faced each other since February 23, 2017, when UVM won 69-52. The game will tip-off at 7:00 pm EST on Wednesday, December 4th at the RAC Arena in Baltimore, MD.
Game 8: UVM vs. Hartford
The University of Vermont men’s basketball team will take on Hartford on Feb. 8 at 7 p.m. at Patrick Gymnasium. This will be the Catamounts’ final Home game of the season.
Game 9: UVM vs. Maine
The University of Vermont men’s basketball team will take on the Maine Black Bears on Tuesday, February 9th at 7:00pm. The game will be played at the Patrick Gymnasium in Burlington, Vermont.
