The Staff at Villanova Baseball Camp

One of the best baseball camps in Pennsylvania is at Villanova University The reason this camp has been so successful is the great coaching staff that they have. The staff consists of head coach Mark Whitten assistant coaches Jason da Silva and Steve Kodros, and pitching coach Gregg Ritchie.

Whitten has been the Head Coach at Villanova since 2012. In that time, he has led the Wildcats to three Big East regular season championships and four conference tournament titles. He was named the Big East Coach of the Year four times. Prior to arriving at Villanova, Whitten was an Assistant Coach at Virginia Commonwealth University and the University of Richmond.

Jason da Silva is in his first year as an assistant coach at Villanova. He came to the Wildcats after spending two seasons as an assistant coach at his alma mater, Hofstra University Da Silva played four years of college baseball including two years at Hofstra before finishing his career playing Division III baseball at SUNY Cortland.

Steve Kodros is also in his first year as an assistant coach withthe Wildcats. He comes to Villanova after serving as an assistant coach at Penn State for six seasons. Kodros was also an assistant coach with Stony Brook University and Adelphi University before coming to Penn State

Gregg Ritchie is in his fifth season as the pitching coach for Villanova Baseball Camp He has been a part of three Big East regular season championship teams and four conference tournament title teams during his time with the Wildcats. Prior to coming to Villanova, Ritchie served as a pitching coach for La Salle University and Rider University
