The 2022-23 Arkansas Basketball Coaching Staff is still in the process of being put together, but it’s not too early to start speculating about how things may shake out.

Mike Anderson

Mike Anderson is the current Head Coach of the Arkansas men’s basketball team He was hired on March 26, 2011, after serving one year as the head coach at the University of Missouri

Prior to his time at Arkansas, Coach Anderson was an Assistant Coach at the University of Alabama for six years under Head Coach Mark Gottfried He has also been an assistant coach at Tulsa, Marquette and Mississippi State

Eric Musselman

Eric Musselman is entering his fourth season as the Head coach of the Arkansas Razorbacks menufffds Basketball team He has led the program to two NCAA tournament appearances, including a Sweet Sixteen appearance in 2019. His teams have won 20 or more games in three straight seasons, a first for the program since 1997-98. In 2020-21, he guided the Razorbacks to a 25-7 overall record and an SEC regular season championship.

Musselmanufffds coaching staff consists of three assistant coaches and a director of operations. Mike Anderson who served as head coach at Arkansas from 2011-16, is in his first season on Musselmanufffds staff. Anderson was most recently the head coach at St. Johnufffds University. Clintondale Lopez is in his third season as an assistant coach at Arkansas and is responsible for working with the teamufffds big men Dave Rice rounds out the staff as an assistant coach in his first season with the Razorbacks. He previously served as an assistant under Musselman at Nevada from 2015-19.

Joe Pasternack

Joe Pasternack (born December 28, 1966) is the current head men’s basketball coach at the University of Arizona He was hired on April 9, 2017, replacing Sean Miller Pasternack has also coached at UC Santa Barbara and Pepperdine.

Pasternack was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and grew up in Cherry Hill New Jersey. He played college basketball at the University Of Pennsylvania from 1984 to 1988. Pasternack began his coaching career as an Assistant Coach at Penn from 1988 to 1991 under head coach Fran Dunphy

In 1991, Pasternack became an assistant coach at UC Santa Barbara under head coach Jerry Pimm. He remained on staff for five seasons until 1996, when he was hired as an assistant coach at Pepperdine under head coach Mark Gottfried. In 2001, Pasternack followed Gottfried to Alabama, where he served as an assistant for one season before being hired as UC Santa Barbara’s Head Coach in 2002.

Pasternack coached UC Santa Barbara for four seasons from 2002 to 2006. In his final season, the Gauchos won the 2006 Big West Conference regular season championship with a 21-9 record (13-3 in conference play). The Gauchos lost to Long Beach State in the 2006 Big West conference tournament Championship game

Pasternack was hired as Arizona’s head men’s basketball coach on April 9, 2017. He has a four-year record of 73-58 (.557) at Arizona.

T.J. Cleveland

T.J. Cleveland is in his first season as an assistant coach with the Razorbacks. Prior to Arkansas, Cleveland served as the head coach at the University of Central Arkansas for two seasons. As a head coach Cleveland compiled a 38-22 (.633) overall record, including back-to-back 20-win seasons and post-season appearances in the CIT in 2018 and 2019.

Cliff Ellis

Coach Cliff Ellis is entering his first season as the head coach of the Arkansas Razorbacks men’s basketball team He is joined by Assistant coaches Eric Lopez and Gregory Paul, who will help him develop and lead the team to success on the court. Coach Ellis has extensive experience coaching at the collegiate level, and he is confident that he can lead the Razorbacks to victory in the 2022 season.

Mike Neighbors

Mike Neighbors is entering his second season as the head coach of the Arkansas Razorbacks menufffds Basketball team He was hired on April 5, 2020, replacing Eric Musselman Prior to coming to Arkansas, Neighbors spent four seasons as the Head Coach at the University of Washington where he compiled a record of 64ufffd61.

Jimmy Dykes

Jimmy Dykes (born February 2, 1964) is an American college basketball coach and former player. He is currently the head men’s basketball coach at the University of Arkansas a position he has held since 2013.

Dykes began his college coaching career as an assistant coach at his alma mater, the University of Oklahoma, from 1987 to 1990. He then served as an assistant coach at the University of Arkansas from 1990 to 1992 and again from 1993 to 1996. Dykes was the head men’s basketball coach at the University of South Florida from 1996 to 2001. From 2001 to 2006, he was an assistant coach at the University of Kentucky under head coach Tubby Smith.

In 2006, Dykes returned to Arkansas as the head men’s basketball coach In his first season, he led the Razorbacks to a 21ufffd13 record and a berth in the NCAA Tournament In seven seasons as Arkansas’ head coach Dykes compiled a 128ufffd116 record. He was fired on March 17, 2013 after going 13ufffd18 in 2012ufffd13.

In 2013, Dykes was hired as an assistant coach by Billy Donovan of the NBA’s Oklahoma City Thunder However, Donovan was hired as the new head coach of the University of Florida before the Thunder’s season began, and Dykes followed him there.

On April 11, 2019, it was announced that Dykes would return to Arkansas as an assistant coach on Eric Musselman’s staff.

John Pelphrey

The Arkansas men’s basketball coaching staff for the 2021-22 season will feature John Pelphrey as the Head Coach and Eric Lopez and Jorge Lopez as the assistant coaches.

Stan Heath

Stan Heath is the current head coach of the Arkansas men’s basketball team He was hired on March 27, 2003, to replace Nolan Richardson. Heath’s Razorbacks made the NCAA tournament in his first year as head of the program, and won two games before losing in the Sweet Sixteen to eventual National Champion Syracuse. In 2006, Arkansas again qualified for the NCAA tournament

Nolan Richardson

Nolan Richardson is the head basketball coach for the Arkansas Razorbacks men’s basketball team He was hired on April 1, 2020, and is contracted through the 2022 season. Richardson was previously the head coach at University of Arkansas at Little Rock (UALR) from 2014 to 2020.

Prior to coaching at UALR, Richardson was an assistant coach at the University of Central Arkansas (UCA) from 2013 to 2014. He has also coached internationally, including a stint as head coach of the Bahamas national team from 2012 to 2013.

Richardson is a native of El Paso, Texas. He played college basketball at Texas Western College (now UTEP), where he was a member of the 1966 NCAA National Championship team.
