The Washington High School Girls Basketball League
The Washington high school Girls Basketball League is a tradition of excellence in our state. For over 50 years, the league has provided a platform for the state’s best female basketball players to compete at the highest levels. Our teams have won dozens of championships and produced some of the country’s top college and professional players.
The league is made up of six divisions, each representing a different region of our state. The divisions are:
Northwest: Kingco 4A, SPSL 4A, Wesco 4A
Southwest: Cascade, Evergreen, Mid-Columbian
Northeast: Caribou Trail, Great Northern, Northeast 2B/1B
Southeast: Greater Spokane, Mid-Valley, Southeast 1B/2B
Central: CWAC, Mid-Columbian League, 2A/3A Eastside League
Eastside: 3A/4A Kingco, 4A Greater Eastside League
Each division is represented by a different color in the League logo (purple for Northwest, green for Southwest, red for Northeast, blue for Southeast, yellow for Central, and orange for Eastside).
The league is governed by a Board of Directors made up of representatives from each division. The Board meets monthly to discuss league business and make decisions on behalf of the league.
