The infield of the Washington State Baseball Team is full of returning experience and talented newcomers. at first base is senior slugger JJ Altobelli, who is coming off a breakout junior season in which he batted .320 with 10 home runs and 50 RBIs. At second base is junior Danny Hayes, who batted .271 with one home run and 19 RBIs last season. shortstop is manned by senior Cody Bartlett, who hit .267 with two home runs and 17 RBIs in 2013. Rounding out the infield at third base is sophomore Nick Tanielu, who batted .302 with four home runs and 26 RBIs as a freshman last season.

The pitching staff will be anchored by senior right-hander Scott Simon, who went 7-5 with a 3.93 ERA in 16 starts last season. The bullpen will feature a number of new faces, but the most experienced arm will be junior right-hander David Stilley, who appeared in 18 games out of the pen last season.
