The Westminster Program

Since its inception in 2006, the Westminster Basketball Program has been one of the best in the west. The team has won or shared the conference title six times, including five consecutive seasons from 2010-2015. They have also made the NCAA Division III tournament seven times, most recently in 2019. Under Head Coach Matt Mitchell Westminster has become known for its hard-nosed defense and rebounding. In 2019, they were ranked #1 in Division III in both categories.

The Westminster program is built on a foundation of hard work and dedication. The team regularly puts in long hours of practice and workout sessions to make sure they are ready to compete at the highest level This commitment has paid off, as Westminster has become one of the top basketball programs in Division III

The Westminster Coaches

The Westminster Basketball Coaching Staff is composed of some of the most experienced and successful coaches in the country. They have a wealth of knowledge and experience in the game, and they are committed to helping their players reach their full potential.

The head coach of Westminster basketball is Mike Krzyzewski who has been with the team for over 20 years. He has led the team to two NCAA Division I titles and four conference championships Coach Krzyzewski is a father figure to his players, and he instills in them a love for the game and a dedication to excellence.

The assistant coaches at Westminster are also extremely knowledgeable and experienced. They work closely with Coach Krzyzewski to develop strategies and game plans that will give the team a competitive edge. They are also responsible for player development both on and off the court.

The Westminster System

The Westminster System is a ballin’ way to play basketball – and we’re the best in the West! Our system is simple: we have four quarters, each quarter is 12 minutes long, and there are two teams of five players. The object of the game is to score points by shooting the ball through the opponents’ hoop. The team with the most points at the end of the game wins!

We play a fast-paced, exciting brand of basketball that is perfect for any fan. Our games are always well-attended and our fans are passionate about their team.
