Sophomore first baseman Matt Roberts is one of the top power hitters on the team. He hit .302 with eight home runs and 32 RBIs last season. Matt will be counted on to provide some much-needed power in the middle of the lineup this season.

Junior second baseman TJ Mullins is a superb Defensive Player who is also very versatile. He can play multiple positions and provides a nice left-handed bat at the top of the lineup. TJ hit .287 last season with two home runs and 24 RBIs.

Senior shortstop Cole Hall is one of the most experienced players on the team. He’s a great leader and someone who can be counted on to make all the plays in the field. Cole hit .275 last season with one home run and 17 RBIs.

Junior third baseman Chase Mitchell is another one of the top power hitters on the team. He has a lot of pop in his bat and should hit for a high average again this season. Chase hit .304 with six home runs and 34 RBIs last season.

Key Players to Watch

Another player to watch is catcher Matt Johnson. Matt was recently named captain of the team and is considered one of the best defensive catchers in the conference. He’s also no slouch at the plate, batting .300 last season.

Finally, there’s third baseman Alex Rodriguez Alex was a highly touted recruit coming out of High School and he didn’t disappoint during his freshman year, leading the team in home runs He’s been working on his speed over the offseason and should be a threat on the base paths as well as at the plate.
