The 2020 NBA draft
The 2020 NBA draft will be held on November 18th, 2020. It is expected to be one of the most closely watched drafts in recent memory, with a strong class of prospects and a number of teams in dire need of an infusion of young talent. The Phoenix Suns are currently slated to pick first overall, and it is widely assumed that they will use that pick to select big man Dwight Howard from the University of Arizona
Who are the top prospects?
The 2020 NBA Draft will be held on November 18, 2020, at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. The 2020 draft is expected to feature a number of talented players, including second-year pros Zion Williamson of the New Orleans Pelicans and Ja Morant of the Memphis Grizzlies Other top prospects include point guard Lamelo Ball of the Charlotte Hornets small forward Anthony Edwards of the Minnesota Timberwolves and Power Forward James Wiseman of the Golden State Warriors
Why Lamelo Ball is the best prospect
In the 2020 NBA Draft the Phoenix Suns selected center Ty-Shon Alexander with the 11th overall pick.
With their second 1st round pick, the Suns selected power forward Jaylen Brown out of California with the 20th overall selection.
The Suns completed their 1st Round Selections by taking shooting guard Devin Booker with the 13th overall pick.
With their 2nd round selections, the Suns took small forward Jared Dudley and point guard Tyler Ennis
Why Anthony Edwards is the best prospect
There is no denying that the 2020 NBA Draft class is loaded with talent. But when it comes to the top prospect in the class, there is one player who stands out above the rest: Anthony Edwards
Edwards is an elite scorer who can get buckets from anywhere on the court. He has a natural ability to put the ball in the basket, and he does it with ease. He averaged 19.1 points per game as a freshman at Georgia, and he did it against some of the best competition in the country. Edwards has all of the tools to be a star at the next level, and there is no reason to believe that he wont be able to live up to the hype.
The Minnesota Timberwolves are in luck, as they hold the number one overall pick in this years draft. And while there are other talented players available, there is no doubt that Edwards is the best player in the draft. The Timberwolves would be wise to select him with the first overall pick, and they should do so without hesitation.
Why Obi Toppin is the best prospect
There is no doubt that the 2020 NBA draft will be filled with players who will make an impact on the league for years to come. However, one player who stands out above the rest is Obi Toppin. Toppin is a 6’9″ forward from the University of Dayton He is an explosive athlete who can finish above the rim with ease. He also has a very nice touch from the outside, shooting 39% from three-point range last season. Additionally, Toppin is an excellent rebounder and shot blocker for his position.
There are some concerns about Toppin’s defense, as he can be a bit slow-footed at times. However, his length and athleticism give him the tools to be a very good defender down the road. Overall, Toppin’s combination of size, skill, and athleticism make him the best prospect in the 2020 NBA draft The Phoenix Suns would be wise to select him with the first overall pick.
Why Tyrese Haliburton is the best prospect
The 2020 NBA Draft class is loaded with talent and there will be a lot of Great players taken on Wednesday night. But if I had to pick one prospect who I believe is the best in the class, it would be Iowa State point guard Tyrese Haliburton.
There are a number of factors that give Haliburton the edge over other prospects in my opinion. First, his shooting ability is elite for a point guard Haliburton shot 41.9 percent from three-point range last season and also has a very high free throw percentage (85.4). He has demonstrated the ability to knock down shots from anywhere on the court and has a very quick release.
Second, Haliburton is an excellent playmaker who takes care of the ball. He averaged 6.5 assists per game last season while only turning it over 2.5 times per game. He had a 2.6 assist-to-turnover ratio which was the best in the country among all players with at least 200 assists last season.
Third, Haliburton is an elite defender who can guard multiple positions. He has good size for a point guard (65) and is an excellent perimeter defender. He averaged 2.5 steals per game last season, which was second in the country behind only Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year Marcus Garrett of Kansas.
Haliburton isnt a perfect prospect he doesnt have great explosiveness and isnt a great finisher around the rim but he checks all of the other boxes that you look for in a franchise point guard He should be an immediate impact player on both ends of the court and has All-Star potential down the road. Phoenix Suns would be lucky to get him at No
Why Killian Hayes is the best prospect
While there are a number of talented players in the 2020 NBA Draft there is one clear standout: Killian Hayes. Here are four reasons why Hayes is the best prospect in the draft:
1. He’s an elite playmaker.
Hayes has outstanding vision and creativity with the ball in his hands, and he has the ability to make plays for both himself and his teammates. He’s also an excellent passer, and he has a High Basketball IQ. All of these things make him a very dangerous player on offense.
2. He’s a great shooter.
Not only is Hayes a great shooter, but he’s also extremely efficient from behind the arc. In fact, he shot 44 percent from three-point range last season. This is a huge plus for him, as it will make him even more difficult to guard at the next level.
3. He’s a good defender.
Hayes is long and athletic, which makes him a good defender at the point of attack. He’s also quick enough to stay in front of most guards, and he has the potential to be a very good perimeter defender in the NBA.
Why Cole Anthony is the best prospect
Cole Anthony is the best prospect in the 2020 NBA Draft The 6-foot-3 point guard is a scoring machine who can also distribute the ball and play defense He’s the total package, and he has the potential to be a superstar in the NBA.
The Phoenix Suns are rumored to be interested in drafting Anthony, and they should be. He would be a perfect fit for their up-and-coming team. Anthony is friends with Suns’ star Devin Booker and they would make a great backcourt tandem.
The Suns need a point guard who can score, and that’s exactly what Anthony does best. He averaged 22.1 points per game as a freshman at North Carolina and he shot 41 percent from three-point range. He’s an excellent shooter with deep range, and he’s also capable of getting to the rim and finishing with contact.
While Anthony is an elite scorer, he’s also a good passer. He averaged 4.0 assists per game last season, and he has the vision and passing ability to be a high-level playmaker in the NBA.
Anthony is also a good defender. He has quick hands and feet, and he has the lateral quickness to Stay in front of most guards. His size also allows him to defend bigger players on switches.
There are some concerns about Anthony’s durability, as he missed significant time last season with a Knee Injury but if he can stay healthy, he has all the tools to be a superstar in the NBA.
Why RJ Hampton is the best prospect
The 2020 NBA Draft will be remembered for a while. It was one of the most unique
in recent memory, with the Coronavirus pandemic postponing the end of the college
basketball season and forcing the draft to be held virtually. Nevertheless, there
were some great prospects available, and teams made some impressive selections.
One player who stood out above the rest was RJ Hampton. Hampton is a 6’5″ guard from Little Elm, Texas. He played one year of college basketball at Little Elm High School before declaring for the NBA Draft
Hampton is an incredible athlete with a tremendous amount of upside. He has the ability to score from anywhere on the court, and he is an excellent rebounder for his position. Hampton is also an excellent defender, with the potential to be a true two-way player at the next level.
There are some concerns about Hampton’s shooting ability, but he has shown flashes of being a very good shooter. If he can develop a consistent outside shot, he has the potential to be a superstar in the NBA.
The Phoenix Suns selected Hampton with the tenth overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft and they are very happy with their selection. Hampton has all of the tools to be a great player in the NBA, and he could be a cornerstone player for the Suns for years to come.
Why Isaac Okoro is the best prospect
While there are many talented prospects in the 2020 NBA draft class, there is one player who stands out above the rest: Auburn small forward Isaac Okoro. Okoro is an elite defender with the potential to be a very good offensive player He should be able to step into an NBA rotation immediately and make an impact on both ends of the court.
In terms of raw talent Okoro is not the most gifted player in the Draft Class He does not have the size of a player like James Wiseman or the shooting ability of a player like Killian Hayes. However, what he lacks in physical tools, he makes up for with his excellent feel for the game and his High Basketball IQ.
Okoro is an excellent defender. He has quick feet and long arms which allow him to stay in front of opposing players. He is also a smart defender who understands how to position himself to make it difficult for opponents to score. On offense, Okoro is a capable scorer who can finish around the basket and hit open jumpers. He is not currently a great playmaker but he has shown improvement in this area over the course of his college career.
The biggest knock on Okoro is that he does not have elite physical tools or high upside. However, he has the potential to be a very good player on both ends of the court. He should be able to step into an NBA rotation immediately and make an impact on both ends of the court.
The “207 nba draft” is the fourth annual NBA draft The draft was held in June of 2004 and had 207 players selected.
