The 2017 NHL Entry Draft was the 55th NHL Entry Draft It was held on June 23–24, 2017, at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois. The first three selections were Nico Hischier, Nolan Patrick, and Miro Heiskanen.

2017 NHL Draft Results: Second Round

The second round of the 2017 NHL Draft began with the Nashville Predators selecting defenseman Dante Fabbro with the 17th overall pick. That selection was followed by the Philadelphia Flyers using the 18th overall pick on right winger Isaac Ratcliffe. The Ottawa Senators made center Logan Brown the 11th forward chosen in the draft when they took him at No. 11, one spot ahead of where the Tampa Bay Lightning took defenseman Cal Foote.

2017 NHL draft Results: Fifth Round

The 2017 NHL Entry Draft fifth round was held on June 24, 2017 at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois. A total of 10 picks were made.

With the first pick of the fifth round, the Los Angeles Kings selected Jaret Anderson-Dolan from the Spokane Chiefs of the Western Hockey League Anderson-Dolan recorded 61 points (29 goals, 32 assists) in 72 games during the 2016-17 season

With the second pick, the Detroit Red Wings selected Zachary Gallant from the Peterborough Petes of the Ontario Hockey League Gallant scored 18 goals and added 19 assists for 37 points in 68 games during his 2016-17 season.

2017 NHL Draft Results: Ninth Round

##NHL Teams made a total of 217 picks in the 2017 NHL Draft including 211 in the seven rounds held on Saturday, June 24, 2017, at United Center in Chicago.

Several teams traded away their picks in the ninth round. As a result, there were only 33 picks made in the round.

The Chicago Blackhawks chose defenseman Elijah Roberts with the 217th overall pick, which was acquired from the Arizona Coyotes in a trade for goaltender Scott Darling.
