The 2020-21 Elon Men’s Basketball Schedule has been released and it features some tough competition. The Phoenix will take on some of the best teams in the country, including Duke, UNC, NC State, and Wake Forest The schedule also includes conference games against Louisville, Virginia, and Notre Dame
The Phoenix will open the season at home against North Carolina A&T on November 25
The Elon University men’s basketball team will open the season at home against North Carolina A&T on November 25, the school announced Monday.
It will be the Phoenix’s first game against a Division I opponent since December 2017, when they lost to Wake Forest 97-73.
Elon will play four of its first five games at home, with the only road game being a trip to Chapel Hill to take on UNC on November 29.

The schedule features 18 games against teams that played in the NCAA championship last season, including four games against national runner-up Gonzaga and a pair of meetings with defending National Champion Virginia. The non-conference portion of the slate also includes home games against NC State, Wofford and Richmond.
Elon will open the season at home on Tuesday, November 5th, against Gardner-Webb before hitting the road for four straight games. The Phoenix will face Virginia Tech in Blacksburg on Friday, November 8th, before traveling to take on UNC Greensboro on Tuesday, November 12th. Elon will then take part in the Virgin Islands Paradise Jam from November 15th-18th, facing USC Upstate in its opening game on Friday re Playing either BYU or Old Dominion on Saturday and either Gonzaga or Iowa State on Sunday.

The Phoenix will open its season at home against nonconference foe Norfolk State on Nov. 10. Elon will then play host to Campbell on Nov. 14 before hitting the road for a three-game road trip
Elon’s first conference game of the season will be at Hofstra on Nov. 17. The Phoenix will then travel to Drexel (Nov. 21) and Delaware (Nov. 24) before returning home to host James Madison on Nov. 28.

“We are really excited about our non-conference schedule this season,” said Elon Head Coach Mike Schrage. “We have a great mix of opponents, both at home and on the road. This will be a great test for our team early in the season.”

Elon will then take on East Carolina at home on Saturday, November 9 followed by a road trip to Purdue to take on the Boilermakers on Tuesday, November 12. The Phoenix will return home to host High Point on Saturday, November 16 before traveling to NC State on Tuesday, November 19.
Elon will then take part in the Charleston Classic from November 21-24 where they will face off against Virginia, Northeastern, and Ohio. The Phoenix will close out their non-conference schedule with a three-game homestand starting with William & Mary on Saturday, December 7 followed by Liberty on Tuesday, December 10 and UNCG on Saturday, December 14.

The Elon University men’s basketball team announced its full schedule for the upcoming 2019-20 season on Tuesday afternoon, which features 27 regular-season games.
The Phoenix will play 13 home games at Schar Center and seven true road contests, in addition to seven neutral site games as part of the Paradise Jam Tournament in the Virgin Islands over Thanksgiving break.
Elon opens the season on Nov. 5 at home against VMI before hosting Norfolk State on Nov. 8. The Phoenix will play 18 conference games in 2020-21, including nine at home inside Schar Center. Elon will host five of its first seven CAA contests inside thefriendly confines of Schar Center.
