Alonzo Mourning
Alonzo Harding Mourning, Jr. is an American retired professional basketball player who played most of his 15-year National Basketball Association career for the Miami Heat Nicknamed “Zo”, Mourning played at center. Following his college career at Georgetown University he was drafted second overall in the 1992 NBA Draft by the Charlotte Hornets He emerged as a star in the mid-1990s and was named to the All-NBA Second Team three times and the All-Defensive team six times. Mourning was also selected to seven NBA All-Star Games and won a gold medal as part of Team USA at the Olympic Games in Barcelona.
