Another key player to watch is sophomore guard RJ Nembhard. Nembhard is a 6’4″ guard from Canada who was named the Big 12 Freshman of the Year last season after averaging 10.2 points and 3.5 assists per game
This season will also be the first for new Head Coach Jamie Dixon who was hired in April after spending the previous 13 seasons as the head coach at Pitt. He averaged 22 points, eight assists and six rebounds per game as a senior at Findlay Prep in Henderson, Nevada.
Kevin Samuel: A 6-foot-11-inch center from Houston, Texas, Samuel was a three-star recruit according to ESPN and Rivals. He averaged 13 points, 10 rebounds and four blocks per game as a senior at Lutheran High North in Houston.
