WV Basketball Schedule
The West Virginia Mountaineers men’s Basketball team represents West Virginia University in NCAA Division I college basketball competition. They are a member of the Big 12 Conference. WVU has reached the Sweet Sixteen nine times in its history, and has been to the Elite Eight on four occasions. The Mountaineers have also participated in 33 NCAA Tournaments, with an overall record of 33–33.

WV Basketball Scores
The West Virginia Mountaineers men’s Basketball team represents West Virginia University in NCAA Division I college basketball competition. They are a founding member of the Big 12 Conference. WVU has won thirteen conference tournament championships, the last coming in 2010. The Mountaineers have also made the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament fifteen times, including five appearances in the Sweet Sixteen and one appearance in the Elite Eight. The team is currently coached by Bob Huggins, who replaced Gale Catlett after seventeen seasons.
As of July 2017, WVU has received four commitments from High School players for the upcoming season
Jared Butler – 6’3″, 185 lb point guard from Reserve, Louisiana. four-star recruit by ESPN, ranked as the No. 42 player in the nation and No. 8 point guard
Sean McNeil – 6’3″, 175 lb shooting guard from Dublin, Ohio. three-star recruit by ESPN, ranked as the No 280 player in the nation and the 46th best shooting guard
Trevon Wesco – 6’8″, 265 lb Power Forward from Martinsburg, West Virginia two-star recruit by ESPN

WV Basketball History
The West Virginia Mountaineers men’s basketball team represents West Virginia University in NCAA Division I College Basketball They are a member of the Big 12 Conference. WVU has mounted eight serious runs at the NCAA Tournament including a National Championship game appearance in 1959 and a Final Four appearance in 1950. The Mountaineers have also claimed thirteen conference championships including two Big East Tournament titles since leaving the Atlantic 10 Conference in 1995.

The West Virginia men’s basketball team returns two starters and six total lettermen from last year’s squad that posted a 26-11 overall record and advanced to the NCAA tournament for the ninth time in 10 years.
And while the Mountaineers will have some new faces in the rotation this season, Head Coach Bob Huggins believes he has the pieces in place for another successful campaign.
“I think we have a chance to be really good,” Huggins said. “We have experience. We have guys that have played in big games and won big games. Obviously, we have to stay healthy, but I like our team.”

WV Basketball Roster
Noah Cottrill – G – 6-2 – 190 – Sr./Jr. – Beckley, WV (Bluefield State College)
Cottrill will provide a veteran presence in the backcourt after appearing in 22 games last season, averaging 1.7 points per contest. He began his collegiate career at Bluefield State College before transferring to West Virginia prior to last season.
Dillon Brooks – G/F – 6-6 – 200 – So./Fr. – Mississauga, Ontario (Findlay Prep)
Brooks was one of four McDonald’s All-Americans to sign with West Virginia last year, and he figures to be a key member of the rotation this season. The 6-6 guard/forward averaged 8.3 points and 4.0 rebounds per game while shooting 47 percent from the field as a freshman.
