The Miami Heat became NBA champions for the second time in franchise history by defeating the Oklahoma City Thunder 121-106 in Game 5 of the 2011 NBA Finals The Heat were led by Finals MVP Lebron James who averaged 28.6 points, 10.2 rebounds and 7.4 assists per game in the series. Dwyane Wade also played a major role in the victory, averaging 21.2 points, 5.6 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game

The Mavericks were able to take an early lead in the series, winning the first two games at home. However, the Heat won three straight games to take a 3-2 lead before losing Game 6 in Dallas.
In the end, it was Wade’s clutch play that helped propel the Heat to victory. He scored 30 points in Game 5, and then followed that up with a triple-double (23 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists) in the series-clinching Game 6.
