Emporia State Basketball Releases 2019-2020 Schedule

The Emporia State men’s basketball team has announced their 2019-2020 schedule. The Hornets will open up their season on October 30th against Fort Hays State

Emporia State University

Emporia State University men’s Basketball team has announced their 2019-2020 schedule. The Hornets will open their season on the road against Newman University on November 5th. They will play their first Home game of the season against Fort Hays State University on November 8th.

The Hornets have a total of 28 games scheduled for the 2019-2020 Season They will play 14 games at home and 14 games on the road. They will also compete in the MIAA/GAC Challenge on December 6-7 in Joplin, Missouri.

Men’s Basketball

The Emporia State University men’s basketball team has announced its 2019-20 schedule. The Hornets will play a total of 28 regular season games, including 14 at home in White Auditorium.

ESU will open the season with an exhibition game against Ottawa on Tuesday, Oct. 29. The regular season will begin on Friday, Nov. 8 when the Hornets hostbet MidAmerica Nazarene in White Auditorium.

2019-2020 Schedule

The Emporia State men’s Basketball team has announced their schedule for the 2019-2020 season The Hornets will play a total of 27 games, including 16 conference games.

The schedule is highlighted by three trips to the Midwest, as well as the annual Homecoming game and theReturn of the RedOut game. The Homecoming game will be played on Saturday, February 8th against Lincoln. The RedOut game, which is always one of the biggest crowds of the season, will be against Pittsburg State on Saturday, February 22nd.

Tip times and television information will be announced at a later date.

The first four games of the season are all on the road, starting with a trip to Central Missouri on Tuesday, November 5th. The next three games are all in Kansas City as the Hornets will take on UMKC (Nov. 8), MidAmerica Nazarene (Nov. 12), and Rockhurst (Nov. 16).

Emporia State’s first home game will be on Saturday, November 23rd against Central Oklahoma. That starts a stretch of five straight home games that also includes Newman (Nov. 26), Fort Hays State (Dec. 3), Missouri Southern (Dec. 7), and Washburn (Dec. 14).

After road games at Nebraska-Kearney (Dec. 17) and Truman (Dec 21), the Hornets return home to host Central Missouri on Tuesday, December 31st in a New Year’s Eve matinee matchup.

2019-2020 Season

The Emporia State men’s basketball team has finalized their schedule for the upcoming 2019-2020 season.

The Hornets will open the season on the road for the 11th consecutive year when they travel to St. Louis, Missouri to take on Lindenwood on Friday, November 8th.

ESU will play their first home game of the season on Tuesday, November 12th when they host MidAmerica Nazarene. The game will be part of a doubleheader with the Emporia State women’s team who will host Graceland that evening.

The Hornets will play five of their first seven games on the road before concluding their non-Conference Schedule at home against Benedictine on Saturday, December 21st.

ESU Basketball

The Emporia State men’s basketball team will open the 2019-20 season on the road for the first time since 2015 as the Hornets travel to St. Joseph, Mo., to take on Missouri Western on Tuesday, Nov. 5.

ESU will play its home opener against Newman on Nov. 8 before hitting the road again for four of its next five games. The homestand will feature games against Bethel (Nov. 16), Avila (Nov. 19), Mid-America Nazarene (Dec. 3) and Ottawa (Dec. 14).

At the midway point of the conference schedule, the Hornets will host Washburn on Jan. 18 before going on the road for three of their next four games. ESU returns home to host Nebraska Kearney on Feb. 8 and Fort Hays State on Feb. 11 before closing out the Regular Season with two straight road games at Pittsburg State (Feb. 15) and Missouri Southern (Feb 22).

ESU Men’s Basketball

ESU men’s basketball has announced their 2019-2020 schedule, which includes a total of 28 games. The Hornets will open their season on Tuesday, November 5th at home against Avila University They will then travel to St. Louis, MO to take on the University of Missouri St. Louis on November 8th before returning home to host Newman University on November 12th.

Other notable games include a road contest at Wichita State on December 3rd, a home game against conference foe Pittsburg State on January 11th, and a rematch of last year’s MIAA Tournament final game against Fort Hays State at Gross Memorial Coliseum on February 15th.

The Emporia State men’s basketball team opens the 2019-20 season on Tuesday, Nov. 5 at home against Sterling, the school announced Monday.

The Hornets will play four of their first five games at White Auditorium before hitting the road for three straight games. ESU returns home to host Newman on Nov. 19 and wraps up the month with a trip to Bethel on Nov. 30.

Hornets

The Emporia State men’s basketball team has finalized its 2019-2020 schedule, announced by Head Coach Shaun Vandiver on Wednesday. The slate features 29 regular season games, eight of which will be played at White Auditorium.

The Hornets are coming off a 21-9 overall record and a 14-6 mark in the MIAA last season. Emporia State’s 21 wins were the most since the 2014-2015 squad went 25-7 and reached the NCAA Division II Tournament Elite Eight.

“We are very excited about our schedule for next season,” said Vandiver. “Once again, we will face some of the best competition in Division II both in conference and out of conference. We feel like this schedule will prepare us for another successful season

Emporia State will open the 2019-2020 campaign on Tuesday, November 5th with an exhibition game against Newman at White Auditorium. The regular season opener is set for Tuesday, November 12th as the Hornets take on Newman again, this time in Wichita.

The Emporia State women’s Basketball team will open the 2019-20 season with a exhibition game against Newman on Nov. 5 at William L. White Auditorium.

The Regular Season will tip off on Nov. 8 when the Hornets host Southern Nazarene at White Auditorium.

NCAA

The Emporia State men’s Basketball Team will face a challenging NCAA Division II schedule in 2019-20 as the Hornets attempt to make a return trip to the NCAA Division II Tournament.

Second-year head coach Jayson Tatum has released his team’s schedule for the upcoming season which features eight home games and eight road contests. The Hornets will also play four exhibition games, including two at home.

The regular season will begin on Tuesday, November 5th when Emporia State hosts MidAmerica Nazarene at White Auditorium. The game will tipoff at 7:30 p.m. and will be the first of three straight home games for the Hornets.
