The team is made up of mostly seniors, with a few juniors and sophomores sprinkled in. These girls have been playing together since they were in elementary school and it shows on the court. They are unselfish and know how to play as a team. The Lady Rebels are currently 23-0 and ranked #1 in the state. If you have a chance to see them play, do not miss it!

“Our girls have been great all season long They’ve worked extremely hard and it’s paying off,” said Coach Charles. “They’re sacrificing their bodies, taking charges, diving on the floor for loose balls. You name it, they’re doing it.”

The Lady Rebels are led by a trio of talented seniors. Mackenzie Whitman, Emily Charles, and Sarah Jones have all been starting since their freshman year and have improved each season. They’ll need to be at their best if the team wants to make a deep run in the playoffs.

“We’re going to enjoy this ride as long as we can,” said Coach Charles. “But we know there’s still a lot of basketball left to be played.”

Under the guidance of Coach Julie Bennett, the team has captured four State Championships in the last six years. Bennett, who has been at the helm of the program for 11 years, has compiled a 293-41 record during her tenure. She has been named Coach of the Year four times by her peers and was inducted into the Oregon basketball Hall of Fame in 2016.
