The Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks basketball team represents Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas, United States The team competes in the NCAA Division I and is a member of the Southland Conference They are currently coached by Kyle Keller.

The Starters
The starting lineup for the SFA men’s Basketball team includes a wealth of experience and scoring talent.
Senior TJ Holyfield leads the team in scoring and is one of the top rebounders in the Southland Conference He is joined in the frontcourt by junior Isiah Sa’ae, who provides a steadying influence in the post.
In the backcourt, seniors Shannon Bogues and Davon Jefferson provide a potent scoring punch, while freshman Kevon Harris brings energy and defense off the bench. This group has helped the Lumberjacks to a 20-5 record and a share of first place in the Conference Standings
The Bench
The bench is a key part of any basketball team It is where the players who are not currently on the court sit and wait for their turn to play. The players on the bench are important because they provide support and encouragement to their teammates, and they also give the team a chance to rest and regroup when needed. The SFA Basketball team is no different. Here is a look at the players who make up the team’s bench.
The Coaches
The Saint Francis Basketball Program is coached by Chris Cheeks who is in his second year as Head Coach and assistant coaches Todd Withers and Shawn Forrest. The team is currently 12-8 overall and 7-3 in conference play
Coach Cheeks played college basketball at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from 1989 to 1993. He was a member of the Tar Heels’ 1992 National Championship team. He began his coaching career as an Assistant Coach at his alma mater, Northwestern High School in Rock Hill, South Carolina before stints as an assistant coach at Appalachian State University and Wofford College. He was named head coach at Saint Francis in 2017.
Coach Withers is originally from Laurinburg, North Carolina and played college basketball at Pfeiffer University from 1990 to 1994. He began his coaching career as an assistant coach at Gray’s Creek high school in Hope Mills, North Carolina before joining Coach Cheeks’ staff at Saint Francis in 2018.
Coach Forrest is a native of Laurinburg, North Carolina and played College Basketball at Pfeiffer University from 1990 to 1994. He began his coaching career as an assistant coach at Scotland high school in Laurinburg, North Carolina before joining Coach Cheeks’ staff at Saint Francis in 2018.
The Schedule
The 2017-2018 San Francisco Dons men’s basketball team will look to build on the success of last year’s team, which posted a 19-12 record and finished in fourth place in the West Coast Conference. The Dons will be led by senior guard Jordan Ratinho, who was named First Team All-WCC last season after averaging 16.9 points per game Other key returnees include junior forward Nate Renfro and sophomore guard Charles Minlend, who both started every game last season. The Dons will also have several new faces this season, including transfers Jamaree Bouyea (USF) and Devin Watson (SDSU). The Dons will open their season at home against Yale on November 10th.

The Arena
The Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks basketball team has a long and proud tradition dating back to 1923. The team currently competes in the NCAA Division I and is a member of the Southland Conference The Lumberjacks play their home games at the William R. Johnson Coliseum, affectionately known as “The Pit”, which is located on the campus of Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas.
The History
The San Francisco Bulls were a professional basketball team in the World basketball Association (WBA). The team began play in the 2012-13 season and was based in San Francisco California. The Bulls were one of four expansion teams that joined the league for that season, and were owned by Peter Guber and venture capitalists Mark Mastrov and Brad Gerstner. They played their home games at the Cow Palace.
The Bulls finished their first season with a 28-26 record, good for second place in the Pacific Division In the playoffs, they defeated the Las Vegas Gamblers in the first round, but lost to the eventual champion Seattle Blazers in the second round.
The team ceased operations after just one season due to financial difficulties.
