With the season winding down, it’s time to take a look at some of the top recruits Texas A&M will be targeting in the coming months.
2020 class
The 2020 class is highlighted by five-star forward Greg Brown Brown, who is ranked as the No. 4 player in the nation by ESPN, is a 6-foot-9 forward from austin, Texas. He is a versatile player who can play both inside and out, and he has the potential to be a one-and-done player for the Aggies. Brown has already taken an official visit to College Station and he is also considering Kentucky, Memphis, and UCLA.
Also in the 2020 class is five-star point guard Bryce Thompson. Thompson is ranked as the No. 9 player in the nation by ESPN, and he is a 6-foot-5 point guard from Tulsa, Oklahoma. He is an elite scorer who can also distribute the ball well, and he would be a huge get for Head Coach Buzz Williams Thompson has already taken an official visit to Texas A&M, and he is also considering Kansas, Oklahoma State and TCU.

Howard Washington is a 6-foot-4 point guard from Buffalo, NY. Washington is ranked as the No. 84 overall player in the country by ESPN and the No.. 17 point guard . He is a very good shooter and has good vision. Washington has not yet committed to any school but Texas A&M is seen as one of his top choices along with Syracuse and Maryland

2016 class

2012 class
In the 2012 class, Kamari Murphy from Miami, FL and J-Mychal Reese from Long Beach CA are two of the top recruits Texas A&M is also looking at a few other players, including Jordan Woodard from Edmond, OK and Nate Mason from Inglewood, CA.
2011 class
The 2011 class for Texas A&M Basketball is one of the most talented and deepest in recent memory. head coach Mark Turgeon has assembled a group that should contend for SEC and National Championships for years to come.
There are a Number of players who have already made a name for themselves, but there are also several who are flying under the radar. Here is a look at five players in the 2011 class who could make an impact for the Aggies next season:
1. J-Mychal Reese – Reese is a 6’2″ point guard from Dallas, TX who is ranked as one of the top 50 prospects in the nation by most major recruiting services. He is an outstanding shooter with unlimited range and has the ability to take over a game with his scoring. Reese should step into the starting point guard role for the Aggies next season and be an instant impact player.
2. Jamal Branch – Branch is a 6’3″ shooting guard from Arlington, TX who is ranked as one of the top 100 prospects in the nation by most major recruiting services. He is an outstanding shooter with good range and has the ability to put up big numbers in a hurry. Branch will likely come off the bench for the Aggies next season, but he should see significant playing time and be a major contributor.
3. Ray Turner – Turner is a 6’9″ power forward from Houston, TX who is ranked as one of the top 100 prospects in the nation by most major recruiting services. He is an excellent rebounder and shot blocker with a good offensive skillset. Turner will likely start for the Aggies next season and be a key player in their frontcourt rotation.
4. Alex Caruso – Caruso is a 6’5″ Point guard from College Station, TX who was not highly recruited out of High School but has impressed Turgeon with his play in practice. 5. Shawn Smith – Smith is a 6’8″ power forward from Duncanville, TX who was not highly recruited out of high school but has impressed Turgeon with his play in practice. He is an excellent rebounder with good size and strength inside. Smith will likely back up Turner at power forward next season but could see significant playing time if he continues to develop his game
