Since its inception in 1965, the HCC Baseball Team has been a force to be reckoned with on the diamond. The team has won numerous conference championships and made several trips to the NCAA Division III World Series In recent years the team has been led by head coach John Conserva, who has taken the program to new heights. Under his guidance, the team has won back-to-back conference championships and made consecutive trips to the World Series With a core group of talented players returning for the 2019 season, HCC Baseball looks poised for another deep postseason run.

HCC Baseball is led by a coaching staff that has a wealth of experience at the collegiate and professional levels. head coach Brianme Smith has been with the Hawks for three seasons, during which time the team has posted a record of 89-27 (.766). Prior to arriving at HCC, Coach Smith spent four years as an Assistant Coach at his alma mater, the University of Maryland
Assistant coaches Jared Banister and Andrew Cleary round out the staff. Coach Banister is in his first season with the Hawks, after spending two years as an assistant coach at Towson University. Coach Cleary is in his second season with HCC, and he also serves as the team’s pitching coach.
Under the guidance of this experienced Coaching Staff HCC Baseball has developed into one of the top programs in Region XX. The Hawks have won back-to-back Region XX championships, and they are currently ranked No. 8 in the nation by the NJCAA.
