Treadwell played two seasons in the Dodgers’ minor league system before being released. He then signed with the Kansas City Royals and played one season in their organization before being released again. Treadwell’s professional career came to an end after he was released by the Royals.

Caleb Treadwell was born on August 16, 1991, in Atlanta, Georgia. He was a third generation African American and the product of a single mother who instilled in him the importance of education. From an early age, Caleb showed an aptitude for baseball. He played his first game at the age of five and by the time he was eight, he was playing in a competitive youth league. Caleb excelled at every level of competition, and it became clear that he had a special talent for the game.

In 2009, Caleb was drafted by the Chicago Cubs in the fifth round of the Major League Baseball draft. Caleb appeared in 28 games for the Cubs over parts of two seasons before being traded to the Minnesota Twins in 2017.
