Josh Hall was born and raised in Central California, in the town of Fresno. From a young age, he had a passion for baseball. He played Little League and Babe Ruth League, and eventually went on to play High School ball. After high school Josh accepted a scholarship to play baseball at Fresno City College.

During his time at Fresno City College Josh worked hard to develop his skills as a pitcher. He became one of the best pitchers in the league, and helped lead his team to the State Championships After two years at Fresno City College Josh transferred to San Diego State University to continue his Baseball Career

At San Diego State Josh continued to pitch well. He was selected as an All-American during his junior year, and helped lead the Aztecs to the College World Series during his senior year. After graduation, Josh was drafted by the Cincinnati Reds in the second round of the Major League Baseball draft.

Josh began his professional career with the Reds organization in 1999. He worked his way up through the Reds’ farm system and made his Major League debut with Cincinnati in 2002. After pitching briefly with the Reds, Josh was traded to the Kansas City Royals in 2003. He pitched for the Royals for two seasons before being traded back to Cincinnati in 2005.

Josh continued to pitch for Cincinnati until 2007, when he was traded to the Toronto Blue Jays He pitched for Toronto for two seasons before being released following the 2009 season. Josh then spent time pitching in independent leagues and foreign countries before retiring from baseball in 2012.

Josh Hall was born in San Diego California, on October 9, 1989. He grew playing baseball and football with his friends in the Poway youth leagues. When he was eight years old, Josh’s father took him to see his first baseball game at Qualcomm Stadium. That day, Josh told his father that he wanted to play professional baseball someday. After high school Josh attended junior college for two years before being drafted by the Tampa Bay Rays in 2010.

Josh made his professional debut with the Rays’ Class-A affiliate in 2011. He played for four different minor league teams over the next few years before making his Major League debut with the Rays on September 2, 2014. Josh appeared in two games with the Rays that September and then was claimed off waivers by the Toronto Blue Jays on October 31.

Josh spent most of the 2015 season with Toronto’s Triple-A affiliate before making his Blue Jays debut on September 1, 2015. He appeared in four games with Toronto that September and then became a free agent after the season. Josh signed a Minor League contract with the Kansas City Royals on January 19, 2016, but was released by the team on March 29.

Josh Hall’s road to the Major Leagues has been a long one. The right-handed pitcher was drafted by the San Diego Padres in the fifth round of the 2010 MLB Draft out of high school He then spent seven years in the Padres’ organization, mostly pitching in Class A and Double-A, before he was claimed off waivers by the Toronto Blue Jays in 2017. The Blue Jays then sent him to Triple-A, where he pitched well enough to be called up to the big leagues in September of 2018. He made his Major League debut that September and pitched four scoreless innings of relief.

Josh Hall’s path to the Major Leagues was anything but conventional. Taken in the 27th round of the 2010 MLB draft by the Pittsburgh Pirates he was released just four years later. Undeterred, he caught on with an independent League team the Lancaster Barnstormers, and worked his way back to affiliated ball with the Kansas City Royals organization. In 2017, he made his Major League debut with the Royals at the age of 30.

Since then, Hall has bounced around the Majors, spending time with the Baltimore Orioles Cincinnati Reds and Cleveland Indians He is currently a free agent

Although his career has been short-lived thus far, Hall’s story is one of perseverance and determination. He has overcome long odds to make it to the major leagues and his journey is an inspiration to aspiring baseball players everywhere.

Josh Hall’s Baseball Journey has come to an end. The Tampa Bay Rays pitcher announced his retirement from baseball on Wednesday, February 12th, 2020.

Hall, who was drafted by the Rays in the second round of the 2016 MLB Draft out of North Carolina State University had a decorated collegiate career. He was named the ACC Pitcher of the Year in 2016 and helped lead the Wolfpack to the College World Series that season.

As a professional, Hall appeared in just two games for the Rays in 2019, but he made an impact on the organization and its fans. He will always be remembered for his positive attitude and his love for the Game of Baseball
