Fuller had a solid career in the Major Leagues spanning eleven seasons from 1980 to 1990. He pitched for four different teams during that time – the California Angels, Chicago Cubs Oakland Athletics and Seattle Mariners He was an All-star player in 1984 and 1985 while pitching for the Angels. In 1989 while pitching for the Mariners, Fuller won 16 games which is still a franchise record for most wins in a season by a relief pitcher Fuller’s career stats include an ERA of 3.73 with 62 wins and 71 losses.
After he retired from playing baseball Fuller became a coach for the Mariners from 1991 to 1992 and then again from 2000 to 2001. He also coached for the Angels organization from 1993 to 1999. Mark Fuller passed away on January 8, 2020 at the age of 62 after suffering from cancer.
