Pryor spent two seasons with the Pirates before being traded again, this time to the Baltimore Orioles He played four seasons with the Orioles, and he was a key member of their bullpen during their run to the playoffs in 2012.

Pryor signed with the Chicago Cubs prior to the 2013 season, and he played four seasons with them before retiring after the 2016 season.

Pryor made his Major League debut that day, pitching two scoreless innings in relief against the Toronto Blue Jays He was designated for assignment on August 31 and outrighted to Triple-A on September 3.

The life of a baseball player

Mark Pryor was born on July 6, 1961, in Louisville, Kentucky. His father, Bob Pryor, was a high school baseball coach and his mother, Ann, was a homemaker. Pryor has two older sisters: Janice and Karen. Growing up in Louisville, Pryor played little League Baseball and jerseys for his father’s high school team. In 1979, Pryor graduated from Atherton high school

Pryor was drafted by the Cincinnati Reds in the 18th round of the 1979 Major League Baseball Draft. He played four seasons in their organization before being traded to the New York Yankees in 1983. Pryor spent one season with the Yankees before being released. He then spent two seasons playing independent baseball before returning to the Reds organization in 1986.

Pryor made his Major League debut with the Reds on September 2, 1986. He appeared in four games that season and did not record a hit in eight at-bats. Pryor became a regular player for the Reds in 1987 and had a batting average of .256 with two home runs and 41 RBIs. He continued to play for the Reds until 1993 when he was traded to the Chicago Cubs

Pryor played three seasons for the Cubs before retiring from baseball in 1996. In 10 seasons, he appeared in 772 games and had a batting average of .254 with 24 home runs and 268 RBIs.
