Aaron Mcbride, mostly known as “AJ”, was born in Centennial, Colorado on September 20th, 1996. He attended Corona high school where he played basketball. As a senior, he averaged 22.5 points, 9.5 rebounds and 3 blocks per game leading his team to a 23-4 record and the 5A state semifinals. He was named First Team All-State and League MVP.
College Career
Born in Toronto, Ontario, Aaron McBride played high school basketball at Centennial Collegiate Institute in Corona, Ontario. McBride stood 6’5″ (1.96 m) and weighed 205 pounds (93 kg) during his senior year of high school
In his senior year, he averaged 22.2 points per game 11.2 rebounds per game 2.1 assists per game and 2.5 blocks per game. That season, he was named to the Niagara Falls Review All-City team as well as the District 8 All-Star team McBride was also voted his team’s MVP that season. He led his team to a 26-3 record and a berth in the Ontario Provincial Championships where they lost in the semi-finals.

Mcbride’s professional career began in 2000, when he was signed by the Los Angeles Lakers. He played for the Lakers for two seasons, before being traded to the Memphis Grizzlies in 2002. He played for the Grizzlies for one season, before being traded to the Milwaukee Bucks in 2003. He played for the Bucks for two seasons, before being traded to the Charlotte Bobcats in 2005. He played for the Bobcats for one season, before being traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2006. He played for the Cavaliers for one season, before being traded to the Chicago Bulls in 2007. He played with the Bulls until 2009, when he was released by the team.
After his release from the Bulls, Mcbride signed with Real Madrid of Spain’s ACB League. He played with Real Madrid for one season, before signing with Baloncesto Fuenlabrada of Spain’s LEB Oro League. He played with Fuenlabrada for one season, before signing with Aliaaves Vitoria of Spain’s Liga ACB in 2011. He played with Aliaaves Vitoria for one season, before signing with Valencia Basket of Spain’s Liga ACB in 2012. He remained with Valencia Basket until 2013, when he retired from Professional Basketball at the age of 32.

Mcbride was born and raised in Corona, California. He attended Centennial high school where he was a standout player on the school’s basketball team After graduating from High School in 1997, he attended Sierra College for two years before transferring to Pepperdine University.
As a senior at Pepperdine in 2001, Mcbride was named the West Coast Conference (WCC) Player of the Year. He helped lead the Waves to the WCC Championship and a berth in the NCAA tournament
Upon graduation from Pepperdine, Mcbride was not selected in the 2001 NBA draft However, he caught on with the Cleveland Cavaliers as an undrafted free agent and made the team’s final roster. He would go on to appear in 30 games for the Cavaliers during his rookie season, averaging 1.7 points per game
The following season, Mcbride appeared in just two games for the Cavaliers before being waived by the team in January 2003. He was subsequently signed by the Houston Rockets but was again waived just two months later. In March 2003, he signed with the Phoenix Suns but never appeared in a game for them.
In August 2003, Mcbride announced his retirement from professional basketball at the age of 24.

In 201920, Mcbride averaged 20 points and 12 rebounds per game for Centennial Secondary School. He was named a member of the BellevilleIntelligencer All-Star team. In March 2020, he helped his school team win the Kawartha Champlain AA OFSAA regional championship, and was named the tournament’s Most Valuable Player after averaging 22 points and 11 rebounds per game over four contests. The same month, Mcbride verbally committed to playing college basketball for Queens University in Kingston, Ontario, beginning in 202122.

After his playing career, Aaron McBride became a coach. He was an Assistant Coach at Centennial high school in Corona, California from 2013 to 2017. In 2017, he became the Head Coach of the school’s boys’ basketball team
