UNR got on the board first in the top of the second when Austin Shenton blasted a two-run homer over the left field wall, giving the Wolf Pack a 2-0 advantage. UC Davis answered back in the bottom half of the inning when freshman third baseman Jake Jeffrey led off with a solo home run to right field, cutting Nevada’s lead in half.

Unfortunately for UC Davis, that would be as close as they would get as Nevada scored six unanswered runs over the final five innings to secure the 9-3 victory.
