History
Anwil Wloclawek is a Polish professional Basketball team based in Wloclawek, Poland. The team plays in the Polish Basketball league (PLK).
The club was founded in 1946, and it played in the top-tier level Polish Basketball League for the first time in the 1959–60 season. In the following decades, the club had mixed results at the top-level of Polish basketball In 1977, Anwil won its first and to date only Polish Cup title. After winning the title, the team qualified to play in the 1977–78 FIBA European Cup Winners’ Cup tournament.
In 1992, Anwil won its first and only Polish League Championship Title The team qualified to play in the 1992–93 FIBA European Champions Cup tournament.
In 2001, Anwil was relegated from the Polish League’s first division down to its second division. The club returned to playing in the top-tier level Polish League in 2004. In 2006, Anwil won its second Polish Cup title.
