Ruth is regarded as one of the greatest sports heroes in American culture and is considered by many to be the greatest baseball player of all time. In 1936, Ruth was elected into the Baseball Hall of Fame as one of its “first five” inaugural members.

Hank Aaron

Hank Aaron nicknamed “Hammer” or “Hammerin’ Hank,” is a retired American Major League Baseball (MLB) right fielder. He serves as the senior vice president of the Atlanta Braves He played 21 seasons for the Milwaukee/Atlanta Braves in the National League (NL) and two seasons for the Milwaukee Brewers in the American League (AL), from 1954 through 1976. Aaron held numerous MLB batting records, including most career home runs (755), most home runs in a season (40), and most Total Bases in a season (458). He still holds several MLB records as of 2019, including most years with 150 or more hits (20) and most years with 200 or more hits (15). Aaron was very talented in many aspects of baseball and was often noted as one of the game’s best overall players. Time magazines named him one of the 100 Greatest baseball players Of All-Time in their April 1954 issue.

Willie Mays

Willie Howard Mays, Jr. (born May 6, 1931), nicknamed “The Say Hey Kid”, is an American former professional baseball center fielder who spent almost all of his 22-season major league baseball (MLB) career playing for the New York/San Francisco Giants before finishing his career with the Mets. He was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1979

Ken Griffey Jr.

Ken Griffey Jr. was born on November 21, 1969, in Donora, Pennsylvania. He was drafted by the Seattle Mariners in 1987 and made his Major League debut in 1989. Griffey was one of the most prolific home run hitters in baseball history with 630 homers over his 22-year career. He was a 10-time All-Star and won the American League MVP Award in 1997. Griffey retired from baseball in 2010 and was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2016.

Alex Rodriguez

Alex Rodriguez was born on July 27, 1975 in New York City making him a Cancer. He is currently 43 years old. A-Rod played his first Major League game on July 8, 1994, just shy of his 19th birthday, and was the youngest player in the Major Leagues at the time. He played for the Seattle Mariners from 1994-2000 before being traded to the Texas Rangers Rodriguez then signed a 10-year, $252 million contract with the Rangers in 2000, making him the highest-paid player in baseball history at that time. He was traded to the New York Yankees in 2004 and helped lead the team to a World Series Championship in 2009. A-Rod has been named American League MVP three times (2003, 2005, 2007) and is a 14-time All-Star.

First baseman Albert Pujols was born on April 10, 1980, in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic Pujols was signed by the St. Louis Cardinals as an amateur free agent in 1999. He made his Major League debut with the Cardinals in 2001 and was a member of the team’s World Series championship team that year. Pujols is a ten-time All-Star and has won three National League Most Valuable Player Awards (MVP) (2005, 2008, 2009). He has also won two Hank Aaron Awards (2003, 2009) and two Gold Glove Awards (2006, 2010).

Derek Jeter

Derek Jeter was born on June 26, 1974, in Pequannock Township, New Jersey. He was drafted by the Yankees in 1992 and made his Major League debut in 1995. Jeter played his entire 20-year career with the Yankees, winning five World Series titles and becoming one of the most celebrated players in baseball history He retired in 2014 with a career batting average of .310 and more than 3,000 hits.
